    Tomb Kings Rule!
I’m using this to learn about the warhammer lore and decide which army I want to think about playing while it sits unpainted in my closet 5 stars.

    My Favorite Old World Podcast
It’s literally the best Old World Podcast on the Internet. I never miss an episode. Every week I look forward to the next one. Ya know that feeling when yo had to wait a whole week for the next episode of Game of Thrones?? Yeah, it’s like that. A podcast for Nerds by Nerds.

It’s no Elite 8 Showdown but it’ll do.
Look, I’m not saying you shouldn’t listen to the show. Definitely listen. But don’t expect any in depth reviews of 8 random items lightly glued together by the bickering of Tim and Chuck. It’s pretty decent for a Warhammer old world show though. Like if you want to hear about shelves and drawers and such, you could do a whole lot worse. You couldn’t do much better though, unless elite 8 showdown released an old world show. That would be better…

    Delightful Show With Good Context
I’m relatively new to wargaming and Warhammer Fantasy/The Old World are… a lot to take on. I’m enjoying this podcast because the hosts walk us through each faction, but also provide background on how they build a list, past experiences with the factions, and a sample of lore. I come away feeling like I know how to approach a faction - what is it good at, how is it flavored, what do people do with it. I also feel like I have some exposure to the attitudes and experiences that other plays already take for granted. This is a new game with a very long legacy and it is hard to catch up when everyone else started playing in 1990. The podcast is also integrated into an active community through their discord, so you can get more ideas for army building or painting tips. War games can have some rather rude fans, but I haven’t had that experience here. By and large, its been very welcoming. My only complaint is that some episodes feel like they are spread a little thin and that’s a consequence of the extra context. They might talk through the special rules, a favorite (or hated) list from years ago, their aspirations for thematic army, and try to cram it all into 60 minutes. I do appreciate hearing it all, but I wouldn’t mind more of each segment even if that means separating them out a bit between “Meet the Faction” episodes and “Tales of Yore” episodes.

The Best Podcast Called Beards Ears and Skulls
Skip all the episodes with Dan and most with Tim and just listen to the ones with Taylor. Dan is a Wendy’s Frosty denier and Tim owes me money and refuses to pay up. It’s not my fault the monkey was dead on delivery and he knew the risks of shipping a monkey fedex in the summer time. Taylor is good people though and his love of Baseball really shows through the production values of this podcast. Anyways give it a listen if you like subpar podcasts. If you like real podcasts for real men listen to Elite 8 Showdown. Tims there too but it was recorded before he owed he money so it gets a pass
