Robie46Well done… suggestionsThis is a great resource but awkward at times, in jokes, ums and ahs, etc. Perhaps you are still remote from each other? Yet the spontaneity is a great strength, if you remember the urgency with which we listen as we prepare sermons in harrowing times. I wrote the above paragraph many weeks ago and perhaps didn’t send it. But I remembered it while listening to wp in this Lenten season, noting especially the depth of comments and sincerity that has come through to me in this and past sessions. I suppose we always listen more intently when someone appears to speak from the heart. Thanks for all y’all do, y’all!

marshmallowaquariousScholarship and humor-Both essentialWonderful podcast. Excellent scholarship, humor and preaching ideas. All equally needed and I especially appreciate how you are helping us think about texts through the lens of COVID 19.

poxyankSerious Bible ScholarsAs a Lay Pastor this gets deep in the theological weeds at times. I listen because it makes me think and learn. It is an access that I enjoy and appreciate greatly. My heart felt thanks to the all those involved. I hope to meet some these friends in person some day.

shessodreamyListen Very WeekPulpit Fiction and this podcast are my first two listens as I begin my sermon prep. I’m a seminary grad but not as intellectual as these folks and so some of it goes over my head but it always leads me to further study and contemplation. I am very thankful for these brilliant folks!
-
Organa57GoodI appreciate that this show exists, and enjoy the insights it sometimes brings, but as someone who rarely preaches the gospel text it isn’t always that helpful.

Supper menWowA very useful site for preaching

LeetleB10ExcellentEven when I'm not preaching this podcast is a great way to center thoughts & prayers & the the flow of the week through scripture.
-
Samuel BrannonThank you thank you thank you...I really enjoy these guys and their thoroughly Biblical approach to exegesis. Don't get me wrong I'm no fundy wack-o but it is important to remember to begin from the REVELATION or INSPIRATION. And that can cast doubt on what many assume is "Biblically" based. Good work folks keep it up.

pastorhhNearly always helpfulTalented profs, well-prepared, sincere & engaging. Would give 5 stars if they didn't interrupt each other so much.

P. Jones MoodyGrab a seat...This great crew of theologians contribute much to the conversation surrounding the weekly lectionary readings. Listening to them is like sitting around with other pastors and figuring out the basic strategies for preaching the week's texts. Very effective format, with good theological insights.

Luther962Great way to start your weekThis podcast is a great way to begin to wrestle with the text for the upcoming week's sermon. I would reccomend this podcast to any preacher who takes his or her craft seriously.

LukeRevGreat way to get started for the week...It's funny listening to former profs, I get this pit in my stomach like I might have a paper to write... Because we write so many papers in the church. That aside, we do preach often in the parish, every week for some of us, and it is great just to get another perspective, another little tidbit from the text that we might overlook. It is a good launching point into your own weekly prep and I find it valuable as one of my commentary resources. As a bonus, they seem to think they're really funny... (they're moderately funny...)

revron-ClassicalVery Helpful! Each time I listen to this podcast it has given me key insight into one or more of the lessons. Since I preach every Sunday, I always look for new ways of approaching a text I may have dealt with several times before. These folks never fail to provide what I need or to send me off in a new direction. Thank you!

Gazebo RJWorking Preacher Sermon BrainwaveThese guys are good, relevant to parish life. There isn't time for full exegesis here, but there is time for helpful comments and stimulating suggestions. Listen on Mondays, and it'll get you thinking creatively for the entire week.
