JoleismimiLearned so much.I’m so sad that there hasn’t been any more podcasts in the past year. I have listened to every episode (when Lindsey started hosting) multiple times. I have learned almost everything I know about quilting from this podcast. It wasn’t necessarily her, although she was always pleasant and inviting, but it was the format and the content. Just wanted you to know that it is still giving us pleasure in the quilting world and still teaching and refreshing us on techniques etc. I really hope it will come on again! Thanks for all the knowledge and laughter!

GumbolilyI’m hooked! It has been six years since the last quilt I made. And we just found out that our son and his wife are having a baby so I’ve been busy working on a quilt for him ( our 10th grand baby). It’s a hexagon quilt—my first—and I am doing most of the work by hand. I’m having so much fun listening to your podcast as I stitch along. Thank you for the inspirational interviews and ideas I’m hooked.

lolliequiltFeels too scriptedListening to the host read a script is not enjoyable and doesn’t feel as genuine. Please be more natural and engaging, conversational and relatable.

anonymous anonGreat Quilting Tips And Interesting InterviewsI have been quilting for 40 years, but the wonderful thing about quilting is that there is always something new to learn from other quilters. I like listening to this podcast while piecing and quilting at my sewing machine. They have very good tips, from new tools to make quilting easier, to bias cut piecing, to getting those pesky uneven blocks to fit together, to using pool noodles to baste your quilts. There are links to articles and videos to see these methods. I also really enjoy hearing about people making a difference in their communities through charity quilts, and their interviews with well known quilters and how they got started quilting.

RockinLouPerfect road trip companionI listen to this podcast when I take road-trips. It can be long and boring rides, but the time passes quickly when I listen, it feels like I’m in a quilting group with friends. Even my teenager enjoys listening with me, and when the radio stations drop off as we hit rural areas she asks me if I’m ready for the quilting chit chat. She’s good about reminding me to check the show notes too! Thanks for helping the time pass and keeping me alert on the road. ~Emily

Confluence_QuilterMotivation & InspirationI genuinely appreciate the “real life” quilting successes and failures this podcast puts out. I feel the podcast doesn’t document perfection, but encourages individuality, creativity, reality and solutions! I have gotten so much more competed, because my quilting errors don’t cause me to stop! I even put myself out there more by donating many of my quilts. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Sheyenne from Montana

Ellie DonohueLove This PodcastI compare this Podcast to a Book Group. Even though we are not in the same room as with Book Groups that I have previously belonged, I feel like I’m in Lindsay’s Living Room and she is the moderator of the book we’re discussing. The staff recommendations/comments together with the listeners’ comments are similar to book group members discussing their chosen book. Thank you “Team Lindsay” for all your dedication and support of sewing/quilting. You are all truly an inspiration. “Sew” much love and thanks, Ellie Palm Coast, Florida

cdrotarFun and informative!I love listening to the APQ podcast every week. I’m a relatively new quilter with no quilters in my family so I teach myself everything. Lindsay and the rest of the staff are a wealth of knowledge for novice and experienced quilters alike. Thanks for all you do!

BeachGlassShelleyNew Listener catching upI’m new to podcasts and I didn’t think this media would lend itself to quilting. Quilting is a hands on, deeply personal craft and I couldn’t imagine how talking about quilting could ever be as good as actually sewing. Lindsey and her colleagues do a fabulous job bringing helpful tips, relevant content, and up to date interviews with the industry’s biggest names. I love Lindsey’s soothing voice and that she actually responds when you email her a response to one of her polls or questions. I wish I found the APQPodcast sooner but now I’m having a blast catching up on all the episodes!

Janer1957My weekly quilts pleasureI have been listening to The American Patchwork and Quilting podcast for quite a while now, but it became even more important to me during the pandemic. It gave me something to look forward to and something I could count on during a very uncertain time. The podcast is hosted by Lindsay Mayland who gives you the feeling that you’re old friends having a chat. She’s so easy to listen to! I’ve learned so much from listening to the podcast. The regular contributors and special guests always have helpful and interesting topics to share. Thank you for all you do to support the quilting community! Jane Licata

Linda.SewSpecialGetting ready for work bestieYour podcast is wonderful. It’s been a year since I starting listening to all the tips and tricks. I am a new quilter and just finished my 3rd quilt! I love listening when I am getting ready for work. I usually have a pad of paper and pencil ready to jot down great ideas.

Kathleen in IowaTusen takTusen tak (a thousand thanks in Norwegian )for your podcasts! All the tips and tricks allow me to try out suggested ways to become a better quilter. They may confirm that I’m on track for best practices in my quilting journey or they may give me guidance on a new method. I love the sharing of organizational ideas as well as new products. Your recent podcast about favorite tools was a delight even if the suggested tool was an “oldie, but goodie!” It’s simply fun to hear your quilting conversations! Keep your podcasts coming! Kathy in Iowa

Engineer & QuilterEnjoyed listeningI really enjoy listening to these podcasts while I’m sewing. Typically I try to watch videos but then that distracts me from my sewing and sometimes causes mistakes. But just listening to the podcasts allows me to keep my eyes down on what I’m stitching. Thank you for these informative podcasts.
