These guys are very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. This is the best podcast I’ve listened to on a single comic book character. Green Lantern is my second favorite superhero of all time, but these guys have made me love him even more!

I’ve been a listener of the Podcast of Oa for years, so this review is long overdue. Myron and Phil are two of my absolute favorite podcasters to listen to while I work. Myron has a ridiculously impressive encyclopedic knowledge of Green Lantern lore, and Phil is an amazing co-host that has brought his own ideas to the show since joining, like the Know Your Core Segment, and referring to us listeners as Oans. Myron is a Hal Jordan fan through and through. To him, Hal Jordan IS the Green Lantern and his personal hero. Phil’s favorite GL is also Hal, but sees a lot of value in some of the more recent human Green Lanterns like Jessica Cruz and Jo Mullein. The different perspectives these two hosts have is why I love listening to them. It’s very easy to get into an argument over who the best lantern is, or what direction DC/WB should take with the franchise. But Myron and Phil know how to keep the conversation interesting and civil. These two guys are fans just like the rest of us, and listening to them is like shooting the breeze among friends. 5/5

Myron and Phil are a necessary part to any Green Lantern fan experience. These two are extremely knowledgeable and maintain a positive outlook which helps during the COVID-19 lockdown. Recommend this podcast to every Green Lantern fan I meet!

Awesome people talking about a great character. Not afraid to go “against the grain” with their opinions and it’s quite refreshing to hear.

Been listening for about a year and I love this podcast. The hosts are know alot about Green Lantern history and make is easy for newer readers to understand how much lore there is behind the characters. I also like the interviews they've done - they are far more professional than a lot of fan interviews I've listened to. I also like that the hosts aren't afraid to tell you when they don't like something, but don't come off as condescending to people who might have a different opinion.

You’re argument against the representation of Muslim religion and “racial profiling” can and should be applied to Christians to right? The Klan touts the Bible right. But as with a lot of “impartial observers” act like you don’t go into things with your own agenda. You do and you undercut your own argument by not addressing that but pointing out whenever anybody else does it. So arguing this teaching moment and both sides argument you should be able to see you’re only coming from one side. Everything is not made for you not should it be. Try to see a different perspective waving the flag is political to just because you agree with it doesn’t make it better or ok.

Myron and Phil make a good team, they bring enthusiasm with a strong knowledge of the Green Lantern universe. I always look forward to listening, when I see a new episode of The Podcast of Oa in my feed. I enjoy hearing their takes and reviews of both current and past Green Lantern issues. I highly recommend this podcast.

After a 30 year hiatus I dusted off my comics in 2019 and have been having fun rediscovering old favorites and exploring books I never got into before, LOVE your podcast and am very much enjoying learning more about the Green Lantern universe

I have been a long time (not as long as some because I’m only 25) GL fan for much the same reason you are. Mostly because it is the characters inner strength and not a special ability that get him through situations. My comic book collection didn’t start until I saw the cover of Blackest Night issue 48 and was enamored by the designs of the Blue Lanterns corps. I have since acquired most of the Geoff Johns run but lost interest after the Brightest Day ark. Your podcast reignited my passion and I can not thank you enough because with out you I never would have found the bottled light arc which focused on my favorite alien species the Xudarians. Lastly keep up the good work and stay true to your opinion thanks to you I was able to stop buying after lights out then pick up again with Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corp.

This is a great Green Lantern centric podcast that also delves deeply into the DC Universe. I love that they really concentrate on the comic books & seem a lot less concerned with the movies of the DCEU. Happy to have found this show & I highly recommend it if you enjoy other podcasts like Get Valiant! or Holy Batcast.

I'm a big Green Lantern fan and I've been looking for a good podcast to listen to on my commute to work. I wasn't very happy with what's out there that is Green Lantern specific until disovering this one. They offer very even handed commentary and obviously share the same kind of passion for the characters that I do. Thank you for making my daily grind more enjoyable!

I've been a Green Lantern fan for a short time so I've enjoyed listening to this show which remains pretty upbeat even when being critical of some of the books. Myron seems well versed on Green Lantern history and I've learned a lot from the show. Bill does a great job as well and his experience level is more like mine so I relate a lot to what he has to say. Thanks for a great show!

I am a long time Green lantern fan. I found a couple of other Green Lantern podcasts before I discovered this one. I was so unhappy with them that I decided I'd rather not listen to any at all. Then after months I checked iTunes again and found this one! I couldn't be happier. The information and insight they deliver is second to none. Myron and Bill have a great repport. They are easy going but respectful. Thank you guys for a fantastic podcast!

I always love getting the latest episode of the Podcast of Oa. I've been listening since right after the New 52 change up and have been there through the GL:TAS fiasco. I always enjoy Myron Rumsy and Bill Guacamole's insight. It's always nice to hear from people who truly appreciate the source material and the character of Green Lantern as much, if not more, than I do. Keep up the good work, guys. Keep your rings charged and all will be well.

This is easily the best GL podcast available!

I'm not normally big on review shows, but these guys bring a little bit more to the table. It's more than just an "I liked this, I didn't like that.." sort of deal. Theres some big picture analysis, personal perspectives, news, interviews etc. With many comics podcasts, i find I have a very different perspective than the hosts, and while that is sometimes the case here, they present their views in such a way that they aren't insulting to or ignorant of differing opinions. I also really like the website. Very informative as well. If you are a GL fan or want to learn more, this is for you.

I just recently discovered The Podcast of OA and was hooked when I went back and started with the 1st show. And it has just got better and better. If anyone wants to start their podcast needs to listen to this one to see how it is done.

This is only place you need to go to find out everything happening with GL. Seriously, Bill and Myron cover everything in comics, on TV, and movies about Green Lantern. They also explain all the references and hidden details in every issue to make you fully understand the back story and what is happening. I listen to every episode as soon as it comes out.

I'm a geek girl and comic nerd and recently found this show and love it. Both the guys doing to show are fun and funny plus they have a lot of insight in the comic book history of the characters taht I didn't know, so it's cool to hear stuff that I didn't know already. Even though they are sometimes critical of the books they always find something good to say about them and focus more on what they liked, so I like the positive nature of this podcast when there's so much negativity. Great podcast and it's now one of the favorite comic book podcasts

This is a podcast for Green Lantern fans, by Green Lantern fans! Myron and Bill bring something to the table no other podcasters can. It is plain to everyone who listens that they are fans who love the Green Lantern Universe. Every time I listen to this podcast I enjoy myself and find myself smiling.

A great show if your a GL fan. Myron and Bill are well informed and obviously love the characters. There insights on each issue bring out things that I didn't catch and get me more excited for the next issue.

Whether you are a long time Green Lantern comic book fan, enjoyed the movie and recent fanfare, or just became interested because of the DC relaunch this podcast should be right up your alley. Both hosts are likeable, knowledgeable, and carry interesting conversations that focus on GL. This podcast is also easy to listen to production wise. I really liked that the added to spotlight feature.

I have listened to their podcast from the beginning and it has been an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this podcast and their website "Blog of OA" for those who love the Green Lantern Universe. Hopefully, I will be able to hear you guys further thoughts on the Extended Cut Green Lantern Movie in more detail. I enjoyed the movie myself and hope for a sequel to the characters I come to love. Finally a podcast that covers the GL universe with great info and respect. This is a relatively new podcast and i hope it continues. The cast provides relevant and interesting info on all things GL, even info on series or titles that are somewhat tied to the Green Lantern mythos. The hosts do a good job of staying on topic (sometimes. Later shows are better at this.). They also keep it light and are easy to laugh. If you like Green Lantern this podcast is a must.

I like Green Lantern. I've liked Green Lantern for a long time but have only recently gotten back into the Comics. I had been listening to the GL Corps Podcast, but since the movie I can't help but notice how negative it's turned, to the point of me wondering if they even like the subject of their podcast anymore. Furthermore, they've made me feel as though I shouldn't like it either. Not so with Podcast of Oa. Perhaps it's because I'm a little closer to Bill and Myron in age but I feel like they actually enjoy Green Lantern and want to share that love with their listeners. I've also learned or been reminded of some of the Green Lantern lore I've missed or forgotten. All in all, this is an excellent podcast that I hope continues into the future. --Jason

I've been looking for a bit more mature GL podcast for a long while now. This was a great start, not despite your opener having to deal with the mixed reactions to the first GL movie, but because of it. The podcast format is exactly what's needed to give a conversation like this the length and depth it deserves. Please carry on, as frequently as you can manage, and deliver to us your great commentary on all things GL. I'd be thilled to hear, discussions on the current news & rumors, reviews, product descriptions, thoughts on GL's ties to the greater DCU, history / lore discussions and of course speculation about what yet awaits GL fans. The dual-host format is great to keep the conversation lively, but it'd be great to also hear interviews and guests; when you can line them up. All and all, I know it's a lot of work, so I'll be appreciative of what you're able to put together and I agree, its a wonderful way to give back to a fiction that has meant a lot to you and so many others of us throughout our lives.
