It’s always Grimm after Grimm after dark
Love the show, it’s perfect for someone who loves Warhammer, but doesn’t actually play the game
  • DanteMac26
    Not really a Podcast
First off, I want to say I listen for Grim After Dark, and The Thursday Show, and occasionally Game Changers. Mostly because it only comes out occasionally. I usually skip Signals as it’s just a giant FLG ad-spot. Also, really sick of being told I’m doing it wrong by listening to the podcast, and not watching the YouTube version. Looking at you Kicker! Even Grim, a very visual based show, doesn’t berate you just for listening. ServVal and Tech-Priest Dickie are both great! And it would help if the “podcast” feed got updated a little quicker. The Thursday Show isn’t nearly so interesting the week after the tournaments they’ve covered.

“We have 40k podcasts at home”
Used to be a fun collection of podcasts, now its you having to delete several podcasts with unlistenable audio quality while you wait for an episode of Chapter Tactics to grace your presence.
  • Luna ESB
    Almost perfect
I love the network, always fun to listen too and informative. Though I will say the clickbait titles upset me when they have absolutely no relevance to what the show is about.
  • TheClockKing
Grim After Dark Exists I Guess
I'm sure there are other shows but honestly the only one I've heard of is Grim After Dark, and I'm not saying that so Danny does a Chaos Marines hot take when that codex comes out.
  • Bear of Sigmar
    Grim After Dark
I’m here to nullify some dudes comment re: Grim After Dark and how out of place it is. One of the better shows in my opinion. But also I’m also here hoping the other guy got his wife back from Danny. 5 out of 5 stars — assuming the homie gets his wife back.
  • Fudd71
    Mostly perfect one huge flaw
The shows are mostly great and never miss. Unfortunately the Grim After Dark show doesn’t fit well with the shows so like 1/5 of all shows feel out of place and like they don’t belong on the same feed. If that show was separated out I would give all the other shows 5 stars easily
  • Velzhaed
    Grim After Dark
Five stars for Danny. Now please let my wife go. I did what you asked. I miss her so much.
  • FranctheTank
    Elevator music, extended play
7 minutes of elevator music on episode 953 before the show actually starts. No explanation.

    Grim After Dark
Guys I implore you the loyal Grim After Dark listener audience to fill our iTunes page with 5 star reviews that are just copy paste of this text.

    Grim After Dark
Why is this show still on? The last episode spent the first 20+ minutes with the hosts trying to out do each other in obnoxiousness. I hate to leave a review like this, as I’m sure they aren’t very well paid, but seriously. This show makes every other show on the network seem worse simply by being associated with it. Not sure if the hosts are actively trying to be nearly unlistenable (in which case they are succeeding) or if they just need some actual help from the rest of the FLG network.
  • Smaddox1990
    Some good content but..
Some great shows with Thursday show, signals and chapter tactic. But it’s annoying it’s all on one channel. Just spams with a bunch of not so good filler shows making it hard to listen to.

    Pablo stop talking !!!!
I love the the frontline gaming show where Pablo hosts but, he is awful with Reece Reece is a funny dude who can riff on most topics and crack wise, while unfortunately Pablo acts as a wet blanket to Reece’s momentum/ humor smothering punch lines in their infancy Or maybe we get Pablo Improv Lessons “ Yes and? “ vs “ anyways or aahhhh... “
  • OST Dark Future Games
    Chapter Tactics is falling off
Chapter tactics has just been getting worse. The topics are lame, the discussion is boring and Pablo just seems like he is running it on auto pilot. I used to love this show, but now it’s an auto delete. The other shows are still great.

Great tactics. Great podcast. Patreon is worth it as well.

    Chapter Tactics
Let me start off by saying I enjoy about 2/3 of the Chapter Tactic podcast. The cohosts and guest hosts are amazing, skilled players that have been consistent winners throughout several editions and seasons of the game and their insight has helped me grow as a player. Then there’s the host, Pablo. His optimistic tone and excitement about the game, any game really, cannot be understated. But, his skills as a host and his knowledge of the competitive environment for 40K are severally limited. For example, in the most recent episode about 9th edition terrain: Pablo: “Today we’re going to discuss terrain :)” Also Pablo: “Honestly, I didn’t read the rules about terrain :(“ and then spends the next 45 minutes arguing with with the cohosts about how they’re wrong regarding terrain type and placement In short, be warned. If you want to take any gems out of this show, you may need to gloss over 1/3 of every episode.

    Great information.
If you’re a fan of 40k, this podcast is for you.
  • phil_thethrill_rich
    Great
I’m returning to 40K and fully plan on playing competitively once I build up my army. The FGN Network offers a wealth of information for any player looking to up their game. The guys keep the conversation very informative but still make it fun and entertaining. Absolutely recommend to anybody.

    Best gaming podcast ever!!!
Thanks for the amazing pod keep up the good work!!

    Podcast
This is the best 40k podcast that is constantly stepping over its facts and talk about factions without books in front of them. The host Pablo, is funny, nonsensical and who states his opinion as facts. Most of the world and 40k content falls into this same category. Some parts will make you laugh, some will make you mad but that’s all part of the appeal.
  • Fdbetancor
Good new content but overall uneven
Been listening to the FLG podcasts for a couple of years now and was always a fan. They made some good expansions since I joined as a listener: Art of War is excellent, Stats Center is good, though I’d personally keep it a little more serious. I admit that Signals and Chapter tactics have fallen in my estimation to the point that I just don’t listen to them anymore. They’re on the longish side and I’m afraid I don’t think Reece and Pablo have the same dynamic as Reece had with Jason. I’m sure that Pablo is a stand-up guy, but I find his delivery overly stiff and he fails to take advantage of the expertise of guests too often; usually they are the ones to follow up themselves on interesting points or to move the podcast along. Overall, my recommendations would be to reduce overall length of time of each podcast; given the specialization they now have with 4 separate shows covering hobby news, competitive play results, faction -specific news and competitive strategies, I think 45 minutes is what they should aim for, which is a typical commute to/from work or a short/medium gym session. That would also allow them to cut the fat & overlap from the shows, which IMO would benefit them. So 3 stars, but I could easily see them back at 4 stars with a few changes. Finally, I read a lot of complaints about “selling” out or how FLG overly promotes GW products; I disagree. I find your GW specific commentary to be pretty balanced; the reality is there is simply much less to criticize these days, GW is knocking it out of the park. And you guys are in a business, so promoting product is part of the job, no shame for that. Keep up the good work!

Love it but please be more organized.
Just listened to an amazingly important episode with the Late Feb 2020 Space Marine Nerfs. Some growing pains with advertising (just heard keyboard clicks instead of an advertisement). Three incredible experts on the episode but with them not in studio, the host MUST address Qs to specific experts...he failed to do that the vast majority of the time and it took away from the experience (this is despite the experts trying to organize the order themselves). Easy fix to make a wonderful podcast better!

    Strong All Around
Easily my favorite batch of casts. Pablo is soft spoken and very easy to listen to. I can see why his cast is at the forefront. Everyone who enjoys competitive warhammer knows who Reece is and we owe him, ITC and FLG a huge thank you. Val and The Falcon put out the premier stats and analysis show for 40k hands down, while Nick and John cover the list by list angle in a competitive setting. We have it all with this batch of podcasts. I recommend FLG first to everyone I am trying to get into podcasts. That said, The Art Of War podcast does suffer a bit from a bit of echoey and inconsistent audio. A small glitch. And I am sure something that will only get better as we go.
  • Taodark
    Art of War is Strong
I’ve always loved the Frontline Gaming network since the beginning. The addition of 40k stats was good, but really the addition of Art of War with its individual deep dives is just top notch content.
  • Mini Model Builder
    These guys are phenomenal!
Every episode published by FLG is entertaining, insightful, and my favorite go to when needing something to listen drive to and from work. I highly recommend listening to these guys if you are remotely serious about playing competitive 40K and if you aren’t, listen anyway as its worth keeping up to date on the state of the game.
  • DescoHabre
    I love Art of War!
Great podcast network. Fantastic content all around, but I particularly love Art of War and the in-depth strategic discussion of individual factions.
  • tpuddy
    Awesome Content
I really like the rhino on signals. Even more than chapter tactics! He breaks up Reece’s monologues about the meta with his own tangents which is a nice change of pace from prior hosts (All due respect to Frankie and the Banana) which creates much more back and forth.
  • Dukenbear
    Exceptional Shows
All the shows on the Frontline Gaming network are exceptional. Keep up the great work!

    Loving Stats Center and AoW!
I am a new listener and have become hooked on Stats Center and AoW. You are doing fantastic work! These podcasts are my saving grace having 9 hours of commuting to do per week. Thank you so much for taking the time to put these together and sharing them with the world. It is genuinely appreciated that you take time out of playing 40K, to make the hobby more enjoyable for all of us! I look forward to new episodes dropping every week!

    Sold Out to GW
Unfortunately, there is a trend with podcasts in which awesome gaming podcasts start up, get popular, and then the gaming companies put them in their pockets, and then the podcasts stop criticizing the gaming company. Podcasts basically become “state-run media” but for a company instead of the state. This situation has happened to this podcast. They used to criticize when GW messed up, but now GW can do no wrong, and everything with the GW label is perfect and you should buy it. It’s sad that podcasts sell out like this.

    I love StatCenter.
Ill subscribe just for that. That being said, you Art of War fellas are mental putting half of your content behind a pay wall. I wont even listen to the free half because i dont want to buy the last half of the episode. Hows that for advertising?

    RIP Geoff

    Good stuff
Some of people’s voices take time to get used to but over all good information
  • NecronLord3
    GW Apologists
Wow as if the first two podcasts weren’t bad enough why not add a third? The audio quality on stats center is as bad as chapter tactics and the player commentary is hokey and boring to listen to players talking about themselves to themselves. Hard pass on stats center, the Falcon’s info was more interesting on chapter tactics. The audio on Chapter Tactics is making it almost impossible to listen to. Geoff comes on with his over the top voices that may work on YouTube but could easily blow out my speakers. Shaun Morgan is the most condescending contributor to a podcast I have ever heard. Pablo, I appreciate you but you have such difficulty making any straight forward point and often struggle to stay on topic if there even is one. Really sad to see this podcast has turned into little more than GW advertising and hosted by GW apologists. FLG supposedly is play testing 40k but constantly there are terrible imbalances that just “slip” through and the hosts make nothing but excuses for why they are in the game. 40k is approaching as bad, if not worse, rules bloat as we saw in 7th edition. FLG is directly to blame for this or at least they claim to be. Message received and credit where credit is due.

    Great podcasts
The new stats show is amazing!

Finally! Sports Radio I want to listen to
I like the general coverage, but in particular the recent 40k Stats Centre makes for a great sports-radio like coverage of the tournament scene with commentary, call ins and interviews.
  • ChillyBuffalo
    Ongoing Audio Issues
I like their podcast and how it focuses heavily on competitive 40k but the ongoing audio and volume issues make it impossible to listen and follow the conversation. It’s been an ongoing issue of 1-2 people being much louder than everyone else so either your ears are terrorized or you can’t hear half the conversation.
  • Jbodeen
Great podcast for reviewing upcoming content for 40k/AoS
The company does alot for the community and doesnt ask for much in return. Pretty entertaining and easy to listen to. They cover new topics and give as much info as they can. Great for getting an idea of whats coming in new material. On a side note, some of these negative comments are absurd. If you dont like 40k, quit. Stop complaining and spewing your garbage poison everywhere. People like the game, sorry you cant handle that.
  • Gasbaa
100% should give it a listen
If you like warhammer 40k definitely give it a listen. Pablo does a good job of laying out ideas and keeping the chat moving. Guests on a regular basis which I like because you don’t get the same perspective over and over. My only complaint is the audio levels are a bit off sometimes.... *shrug* if I had to say something. The intro music is excessively loud imo. If I’m not careful it about blows out my car speakers and I have to crank it down. Then I have to turn it up higher then it was originally to clearly hear the audio. Same with my headphones. Edit: they seem to have fixed a lot of the audio problems
  • Vito Dettmers
    Best 40k podcast
Signals is the best. Reece and the salty banana alway keep me entertained. Unfortunately, I can only listen to chapter tactics when Val and Geoff are hosting and/or guests. Would love to here more of them.
  • nickaquino
    Great show
Great show. Always a good listen.
  • Jon Lee Pettimore
    Not very good...
So when the hosts actually talk about the game itself, the show is okay Unfortunately, they average 10-15 minutes per show of inside jokes and being mean to each other which seriously detracts from the quality. Also add in the fact that a lot of the show is a commercial for either their store or GW. And I get that they’re a business and need to make money but... the show suffers for it. At the end of the day, it’s just a meh. But totally listen for Chapter Approved. Best 40k podcast out there.
  • Hagahaisj
    2 casts in one!
Subscribers get two great weekly podcasts in one! In the first Podcast you get Reece and Adam Levine discussing news, hobby, tactics, and more. Using a whole lot of years of experience in the hobby, these two help listeners stay plugged into the Warhammer community with a stronger focus on 40k, but still plenty of love for AoS. The second podcast you get is Petey Pablo’s Chapter Tactics. Join Pablo, Val Hufflepuffer, Sockmouth, and more as they address competitive play on all levels of the game. This podcast teaches veteran players what is current in the meta and how to deal with it and it teaches casual players how to crush their enemies and lose friends. 5/5
  • planet psyrum
    Great content
I listen specifically for Chapter Tactics. Great guests all the time. Petey Pab has grown into a good host. When I get the chance, Reece and the gang is fantastic.
  • Googleadminpro
    New host please
I like the podcast in spite of the host, not because of him. He never has anything useful to say, is frequently wrong about rules, and is generally awkward to listen to. The guests are usually pretty interesting however. Most shows consist of the guests waiting for the host to say whatever he’s trying to get out then go back to whatever interesting topic they were talking about. The audio quality is all over the place too. The intro music blows my speakers out and then I can’t hear anything later in the show. Figure your audio levels out and think of something interesting to say.
  • OzzySegelhorst
    Solid show!
This show is actually a collection of shows. Chapter tactics focuses more on the competitive scene, while their “normal” episodes are a combination of news, releases, and commercials for their products.
  • Bryterside
    Love it
A great podcast from the NFL of 40k Reece, Francis, and that Salty Banana hammock make a wonderful show full of insight and Pablo’s show has improved to the level of awesome with Val, AbusePuppy, and Geoff added into the mix. Jake - Back to the Warp podcast
  • xthexclincher
A lotta' good, a little bad
Chapter Tactics is great! Watch for these episodes to drop, where Pablo breaks down the current competitive scene - they're pretty awesome. The Signals from the Frontline episodes are more of a broad news and ITC recap than an opinion piece, but their codex preview episodes sometimes bring in some engaging questions from the chat. The negative - Sometimes the guests on Chapter Tactics are pretty terrible to listen to... most recently Sean Nayden (terrible radio.. he just acts pompous and dodges questions to fluff his own ego it seems). If you're not really "into" the top ITC news/rankings, the Signals from the Frontline episodes can be a bit drawn out. On a lighter note, support the FLG guys for all they've done in the gaming scene! For Chapter Tactics, Pablo's guests Geoff and Val often chime in with a great perspectives and engaging conversations... I'd definitely recommend those episodes!
