    Too much fluff
The podcast itself has useful content, and I have no problem with short episodes. However, approximately half the podcast content is either advertising or self-promotion. This becomes annoying very quickly with the shorter episodes when hearing the same ad 20 times in half an hour.

    Too short repeated content
So I appreciate the smaller bite sized content, but producing 2 episodes with the exact same content under a different episode title, is sad and doesn’t confer authority. If you are truly an expert in this field, you would give multiple different examples, dive into nuisances, etc. plus the intro music - can’t hear him actually speak during the music.

Candidates - this is a must listen
For anyone that is conducting a job search or one day will be conducting a job search, this is one of the most valuable tools at your disposal and it’s at your fingertips! I’ve listened to several episodes now and the content is on point and easy to utilize. Great tool to be listened to and shared.

The Big Game Hunter Knows His Stuff
It doesn’t take long that this isn’t the usual drivel other shows offer and that his years in search come through in the show

Gives MORE actionable advice for FREE than the coach I paid!
Argh! Why didn’t I find this guy sooner! In less than two hours listening to him and his show I’ve gotten more “actionable” advice I can use to land my dream job (and get paid what I’m worth) than the coach I paid. I like his Authentic style and after reading more about him online I can see that Jeff is totally legit. Not sure where the BIG GAME HUNTER comes from... but the show and the content are solid

Seven days a week, 365 days a year, career coach Jeff Altman shares one a piece of actionable advice you can use in a job search or in your career. Whether his suggestion is new to you, or perhaps a refresher on an old lession, you'll find something valuable in these short, daily episodes.

Minutes of fluff for occasional value
Altman knows his craft as a recruiter and a job coach, but his podcasts are frustrating to listen to. I'd have dropped him from my feed if not for the occasional pearl of wisdom every third or fourth episode. Even then, you have to skip forward through excess fluff to find useful tidbits that you haven't heard several times before. The production values also leave much to be desired. After listening to the ad and the pointless intro the volume changes dramatically. Jeff may work the "folksy" and seemingly impromptu approach while one on one with his clients, but it comes across as amateurish on the podcast.

Good advice - way too many ads
Jeff's advice is pretty helpful. There's no bs, he is straight to the point. I've read and watched some of his other things as well, and while they all feel very helpful and motivating I'm not sure how much of a difference they've made in my professional life. This podcast is my least favorite of his content, only because each podcast is 85% advertising and only 15% Jeff talking about something relevant. I don't mind that everything he puts out is an ad for his coaching services because that is relevant and if you're listening to this podcast you might benefit from career coaching. However, ads for Geico and Audible are annoying and intrusive given the genre of the podcast.

It's right there in the title
Jeff tells it like it is. He's not flowery just straight from the hip of a guy with loads of experience. Even though Jeff is doing this to promote himself and his business he's doing it by giving away thousands of dollars worth of advice, literally!
