I can honestly say I have learned more about whiskey from this podcast than any other source I’ve come across. Excellent guests, fantastic information & just enough humor and snark to keep me entertained. I’ve tried them all. This is easily #1 and I highly recommend.

Updating my prior review (below) as it is more than 5 years old... While maintaining the sound and production quality, the two main hosts have grown in their knowledge of the bourbon/whiskey business (as they launched their own brand several years ago), and now their interviews reflect that experience while maintaining their fan-like curiosity regarding bourbon/whiskey. The podcast has also grown to include a weekly whiskey quick review, and a weekly new roundup, so there is a lot provided. ——— This podcast features a small set of guys providing the latest in bourbon news, interviewing people across the bourbon industry, or having an extended discussion about some bourbon topics in a 'roundtable' format. This podcast has been on since 2015, and the hosts have added new voices to the podcast. I feel last year's addition of Fred Minnick increased the focus of the discussions. Episodes are released weekly, and I look forward to each new episode. The interviews are interesting, and the sound quality is very good. You will learn a fair amount of bourbon knowledge by listening to this podcast.

Love the channel and the guys. I just wish you didn’t play behind the pursuit on bourbon pursuit. … it’s just comes off as a re run for those of us subscribed to behind the pursuit…. Personally I think behind the pursuit should just be a bonus episode on the main pod channel if anything it adds to content to followers you already have as opposed to try to get your already followers to also follow another channel.

Y’all focus way too much on bottle hunting and rare releases. I do like that y’all talk to different master distillers, but most of the master distillers you talk to are from the big companies. That’s all well and good. But there are so many other distilleries in Kentucky and elsewhere, you should open the bourbon trail book and see which ones y’all haven’t talked to. I’ve learned a lot from this podcast but I hope y’all don’t forget about the little guys. I’m from Pennsylvania and deliver liquor and wine and I see lots of brands and y’all cover a sliver of distilleries. I hope to hear more about these other distilleries and their stories. Keep up with the pursuit.

Love this podcast but the latest community round table episode was boring and just had one guy talking I’ll informed about issues he clearly doesn’t understand and with a clear bias about how important his own business benefits from proposed tax breaks. Get back to talking about bourbon.

Their podcasts are fun and informative. Their personalities are great and they bring on interesting guests. One of the few podcasts I consistently listen to. 5 stars.

Bourbon pursuit is the best bourbon podcast! It’s the most organized and put together. There’s good balance between banter, jokes and information. Some other podcasts just get awkward and boring but not this one. Listened through episodes multiple times as I have a long commute. Love this show!

Love the podcast. I have a question I couldn’t really find an answer for so I thought I’d throw it out to the round table. We all know when a bottle is half empty the flavor can change from oxidation but doesn’t this also happen in a barrel as it ages and loses volume? Why is this bad in a bottle but no one discusses its affect in a barrel?

Great podcast, been listening for years but please cut out intros and goodbyes from round table. 20 minutes of the same thing every time..

I can’t overstate how much I look forward to this podcast coming out each week. Ryan, Kenny, and Fred have turned my interest in bourbon into a full blown hobby. Not one where I collect bottles and admire them on the shelf, but one of discovery and exploration as I try different brands and releases. I really liked the recent series “Is bourbon broken.” It gave many different viewpoints on how to understand what has been happening with bourbon over the past 15 years and where it is going. Just listened to episode 323. Normally I like the show but I was very disappointed today. The round table talked about the heaven Hill strike, but they didn’t mention that heaven hill is a sponsor of the show. Their reporting of the strike seemed to be very pro management and dismiss the unions grievances. Additionally it sounded like the guys had previously crossed the picket line to do a barrel pick while workers were on strike at 4 Roses. In the past I’ve listened to the show more for industry news, because usually I don’t care that much for their tasting notes. Overall though really weak reporting, including when Fred said “a strike may have killed Pappy Van Winkle.” If you aren’t going to support the strike, I just wish they’d give more insight into why these working class people are striking, instead of just saying these things happen.

By far the most informative podcast available. No drunken nonsense, everyone is knowledgeable, and interviews with industry who’s who are great.

Kenny, Ryan, and all the guests do a great job of letting you into the bourbon world. It feels like you are sipping a dram with them on a couch somewhere. Highly recommend.

This podcast groped me learn about bourbon years ago. They helped me navigate the bourbon world and learn about great whiskey without paying stupid prices or chasing the wrong stuff. The conversational nature of the show and personalities of Kenny, Ryan, and others makes it fun to listen to as well.

I listened to one episode and it had over 9 minutes of ads in the beginning of it. Ridiculous

Content is always entertaining and informative, if you have even the slightest interest in bourbon, this is always a must listen.
