I started listening to this podcast a few weeks ago and can’t stop! I love the banter between Jamie and Doug - they make me laugh every time! Plus, it’s a blast to go back to some of these movies that I have not seen in a very long time. There are a lot of horror movies reviewed, which are not my thing, but plenty of other movies to keep me engaged! If you are a product of the 80s like I am - you definitely need to listen!!

These two have fun riffing on films and also bring on wonderful guests. Highly recommended!

Best part of this podcast is how it makes me feel like I’m hanging with a couple friend talking movies. Sometimes we are gushing over our favorites or other times we are poking funny at the bad ones. Either way, it’s a fun time!

DP and Jamie have become my favorite movie pod duo. Their long friendship and chemistry is fabulous and their energy level and passion for movies is fantastic! I especially love the old school movie selection. I keep changing favorites, Jamie is hilarious and witty, but DP’s voice is so familiar, yet unique. Sometimes he reminds me Albert Brooks, lol. This is a must subscribe and so much fun!

This podcast is so much fun! Not only have I seen so many 80s movies because of it but I’m constantly laughing out loud while I listen. The people in the car next to me probably want to know what I’m enjoying so much. I wish I could telepathically tell them. I definitely wouldn’t roll down the window and yell at them to listen to good times, great movies. That would just be weird. But seriously “I’m like totally going to freak out and die!” If you don’t listen to the hilarious ramblings of these two!

I honestly thought I did a rating a while back but don’t see my name so let me add one now, I love this duo and their take on movies from the decade of my childhood. The fact that I will listen to Doug and Jamie talk about a movie I don’t want to watch just to hear their hilarious take shows what a great podcast GTGM is.

Great hosts who cover celluloid staples of the decade, as well as some unexpected deep cuts!

The likeable hosts have great chemistry and rapport as the dig through movies from the 80s. Their humourous banter is infectious and enjoyable to listen to as they talk about movies you've heard of and movies you haven't. Probably best to track down and watch the movie first though to get full enjoyment of these eps!

Not gonna lie, I hated the 80s back in the 80s. But the decade did produce some good, even great, movies. And this show gives you the skinny on them. Check it out!

So they're okay by me. I know there are at least a dozen different movie podcasts, but these guys have good production, funny banter, and they have great taste in movies, so you should put this in your regular rotation. Let's hope next they take the original Fright Night down a peg or two because that movie is SUPER mediocre.

I absolutely love the podcast. Some of the episodes are about movies I haven't seen and I still tune in. The hosts have great rapport and pacing. It's honestly a fantastic podcast.

Getting to listen to these two talk about 80's movies takes me back to my childhood. It's even more fun when one of them hasn't seen the movie before. In those instances I find myself yelling at them through the radio for not "getting it", but that's a good thing.

If you don't mind the fact that they pretty much hate every 80's movie ever created, the woman who almost NEVER stops giggling or the fact that it takes them forever to begin the topic that their podcast is SUPPOSED to be about then this is the podcast for you. As for me I'll pass!

Not all of the movies are great and these hosts know it! They pick apart every movie and give it the roasting it deserves. They're clearly having a great time and the fun is infectious.

The personalities make the podcast, and these hosts really enjoy each other and the topics. You'll have fun and laugh along. There are a lot of movie themed shows out there, but you can tell these hosts really love movies. So many shows are just snark. Don't get me wrong I love well-times snarkiness, but you gotta have heart. This show has humor, heart, and just the right dusting of snark.

Came across this podcast one day while looking for something to listen to at the gym - while I've slacked with my fitness regiment, I've stayed committed and hooked to this podcast. The 80's movies cover a wide base of genres - some movies are great, some are not quite at that level, but the conversation on those is still stellar. Doug and Jamie, the two hosts, are really what make the show stand apart from other podcasts. Both are funny and insightful, and their impressions are usually spot on (specifically their Jack Palance and Nic Cage impressions). Give it a listen - you'll have a good time with this great podcast!!

These aren’t all great movies (“The Gate”, anyone?), but that’s what makes this fun - in some cases these hosts are braver than I am, re-visiting the ‘80s. But you can tell from the opening music they didn’t skimp on the good times.
