Nick_V_WPride of De(mocra)troit Lions PodcastI have listened to every episode of Pride of Detroit for about 3 years now, but ever since November the cast is turning the sports podcast into a subtle political one. Sports are the escape from reality, and from people shoving political opinions down your throat. However, almost every episode slides in some comment about their political views. Hard to turn on following episodes knowing football experts are going to tell me how to view political landscape. I am not interested in political opinions when I want to escape

bshrjdbskkshxCanadaAlthough a smaller country in population all Canadians do not know each other. Also, Ontario is not next to BC. I get it, meant as a joke at expense to our friends to the North. But with the current administration threatening Canadian independence. Not cool.

Bobby SangriaGreat Lions podcast but…There needs to be a change in the host chair for PODcast. Chris constantly interrupting everyone and going on tangents makes some of the episodes unbearable. He seems more suited for a solo show where he takes callers like a radio segment would. Would love to see Erik on POD.
-
NonnyNWe’re all idiots!Chris interrupts everyone and takes forever to make a point. Jeremy loves to put words into lions fan’s mouths and then tell you how stupid it is to think that way. Does it matter that 90% of the listeners probably don’t think that way? Nope!

FartLicker_69CondescendingThe pod spends wayyyy too much time responding to the dumbest 10% of Lions fans. Every single episode, they’ll spend 20+ minutes condescendingly telling fans to calm down. It’s unnecessary and makes for repetitive, boring podcasts. This is mostly a Jeremy thing (he’s way too preachy), but others do it, too. Chris is still a rough listen. He goes on long tangents that add nothing of value to the show, and his lack of Lions knowledge is glaring. (And you’d think a radio professional would understand the basics of word economy.) When he was gone, it was easily a 4-star show, maybe 5. I’m sure he’s a nice dude, but WOOF. Schlitt is the GOAT for obvious reasons, and Ryan delivers some of the show’s best moments! Those two are the top reason why POD is in the mix for me

DrewOswaldWater CarriersJust some absolutely horrendous takes and analysis. All they do is spin everything Brad/Dan do to be the best thing ever. It’s okay to critique the team guys I promise.
-
maxairrtMidweek MailbagI listen to all your shows, but got to say the Midweek Mailbag is my favorite. Keep up the great job. GO LIONS!!
-
MI_2_AZGet rid of ChrisChris is a little whiny. And especially when he goes on one of his tantrum rants
-
gemartin18Chris is a doucheMy favorite episodes are the ones without Chris
-
CdshrewdIt’s a podcastNot a “pee oh dee cast.” Use the actual word, please. The gratuitous excess verbiage makes the whole thing unlistenable.
-
nice face broCorniest podcast with a bunch of fans who know absolutely nothing about footballThe title says it all. The podcast used to be very insightful when they brought on insiders from that weeks opponent. Unfortunately, since they stopped doing that it’s been nothing but corny jokes and a lot of “I think” before saying some boneheaded comment about a topic in which they are clearly uneducated

b76475AnnoyingJust mute the mic and get some water my guy. The constant throat clearing is brutal.
-
lindsabWorldly PimpJeremy & “The Machine” continue to pump out mad truth about my Lions! Your coverage is da best!

BigFishKzooBest Lions podcast out thereThe Pride of Detroit podcast is easily the best Lions podcast out there. I was heartbroken when they were forced to stop for a while earlier this year, but that much happier when they returned. The quality of the podcast is extremely consistent with a good blend of insight, knowledge, and humor. They are, of course, Lions fans but they have the ability to be critical of players, coaches, leadership, and ownership. They aren’t blind “homers” with contempt for the rest of the NFC North which gives them credibility (with me anyway). Additionally, not a show that you had to listen to from day one to understand references and inside jokes. The Pride of Detroit podcast is very welcoming and deserves your time and 5-star review.

fatmanranger08Love this!I’m so glad they are back! They are bought it and know their strengths and weaknesses and podcasters! Love their Lions info!
-
hometownhoogTraining campFirst real cast back and we start it by pounding the table for a women’s rugby player to join, but after that it was a great pod
-
Msg_v2.0Welcome back!Nice to hear Jeremy & Ryan again. The “host” might not have much by way of informed value to offer but is certainly willing to use a lot of words showing it, which I find mildly painful.
-
bigjames27We’re so backWelcome back Kings
-

Big game hunter2010600 Reviews! What a great podcast! I could not possibly do it justice trying to explain it. Just sit back and figure out why this is the most rated lions podcast! Edit: Please allow this team to be able to continue their all encompassing coverage of our favorite team. It would be a travesty to allow this podcast fade away to nothing…
-
stoner76mdNeed to keep these guys aroundGreat Lions podcast. Keep them!
-
WoofiveDON’T TAKE AWAY THIS TREMENDOUS PODCAST!!This was the absolute best Lions content in Detroit. Informative, entertaining, knowledgeable, interactive..and a great group of guys with different personalities and takes that meshed well as a team. So disappointing that we have to lose this pod when our Lions are finally finding success. I really hope SB Nation/VOX reconsider this decision. The thousands of dollars POD raised in their MOVEMBER charity campaign shows how well they are supported. Will truly miss it.
-
Dickmunch 69My favorite PODcastThank you guys Jeremy, Ryan, and Chris for the best podcast out there. Hope we will get some more someway some how!
-
denver davidInformative and entertainingGreat content. Gutted that SB Nation screwed you guys. I’ll be looking for the next iteration of this podcast and pi$$ on anything related to SN Nation
-
JWAL40Vox and SB Nation are the worstThis PodCast was fun, informative and created an incredible community and charity impact. Shutting it down truly shows what terrible businesses Vox and SB Nation are, and how they disregard their own company mission. The RSS feed needs to be returned to the creatives, end of story.

Bram BrigganceSB Nation Just Tore Out the Lions Community’s HeartShame on SB Nation for cancelling the excellent Pride of Detroit PODcast. I will never listen to SB audio content ever again.
-
broccolizer0005Love it!This podcast has been a must listen since I found it about a year and a half ago. Great info on the team, players, and the first bytes post draft on the new players are fantastic. I can’t believe SB Nation is killing this podcast. So disappointed.
-
BHT28Sad to see them go!Very good Lions information on a weekly basis. Informative and entertaining at the same time. Sad to see the podcast end.

Shizzle Inc.Looking forward to what’s nextI’ve been a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, which we all know has been mostly a miserable experience, speckled with some rare bright spots here and there. (Barry, Megatron, Suh, etc). I stumbled upon these guys a few years ago and found some company to enjoy the misery with. And then, somehow, the team got good, and I got to experience the completely alien feeling of rooting for a Lions team that was actually winning? No true Lions fan was emotionally equipped to deal with that, but listening to these guys helped shepherd me through it. I’m looking forward to what evolves next with Jeremy, Chris and Ryan. I can’t imagine what SB Nation is thinking, but if the goal was to generate ill will then they knocked it out of the park.
-
MindSmashBring the show back!I’ve been listening to these guys for the past three years and they were always fans first, straight to the bite. They made the rough days better, but those W’s last season, to cheer with these guys was just like celebrating with your friends.
-
Mazinga07My all time favorite podcast is ending!Vox, use your head! This podcast is an ever growing money maker. Not to mention it’s amplifying affect on the POD website. If you continue with another podcast in its place all of us will unsubscribe. Please let the guys continue! They are fantastic!

Parker WdowiakGreatest Podcast ever (not just for football)I’ve listened to this podcast for over five years and I have never in that time have found a more enjoyable trio. The shenanigans pulled by Ryan and Chris is some of the most enjoyable content I’ve seen. Erik and Jeremy’s reliable and informative reporting and interviews have allowed me to be more knowledgeable and invested of this football team than I ever would be without it. I’m heartbroken that the podcast is being heartlessly erased by SBNation. No matter what is happens, I want to thank everyone who ever contributed and listened to this podcast. Because there will never be anything quite like it again. I would like to thank Chris for overcoming so much to provide quality entertainment for thousands and being a role model for me when I’m presented with a challenge that presses my mental health I know that I’m not alone. Thank you to Ryan who has brought everything so much while juggling so much in life. Taking care of a child, being a teacher and while shouldering the expectations of the title of Rock God. Thank you Jeremy for being the wettest of blankets and doing everything you can to provide accurate information to the fans and while also doing a amazing job interacting with the fans and making this community feel like home. And thank you Erik for everything you’ve done with helping me understand the financial and numbers of football. You’re knowledge and your machine-like work ethic has given us listeners knowledge and entertainment that is unmatched. My hands are shaking and my eyes are watering. But I am so proud of this podcast and everyone involved. Thank you everyone and I love you all. It’s chaos. Be kind.

fenway824Fun ListenUnabashed Detroit Lions fans always keep it interesting and informative.
-
Haran1mjDepends on the hostsThe episodes with Eric and Jeremy are easily 4-5 stars. Chris calling himself, “the adequate host,” can feel a little generous. He really is the weak link in the chain. His monologuing and tangents really detract from the podcast flow.
-
cort majorDecent. Some good information from a group of fans with a passion for lions football. The constant over use of the word “right” and “like” drops its rating significantly. Expand your vocabulary please, mix in some other options.
-
Detroitboxfan1Football playerHave any of you guys ever played football? You really should consider getting an actual player that knows ball.

mrsstillyLove itLove this podcast and how positive you guys are when things should be looked at in a good light. It’s refreshing with all the negative (the sky is falling) media there is around sports these days. Appreciate your knowledge behind the scenes and of the game.
-
Portland PatriotRight?!I like the podcast, but for the love of god, stop saying “right” every fourth word. It’s beyond annoying. Right?

Ray StakenasBest Lions PodcastThe is by far the best wrestling podcast going today, I appreciate that they sometimes even make reference to my favorite NFL team!!! Come on people, if you want a dry show that spouts numbers and has no fun then obviously listen to this show anyways, then listen to a lesser podcast afterwards. This is a show that every Lions fan should be listening to, and I will forever be thankful to them for bring Toto's 'Africa' into the Lions Lexicon. Good work guys!
