Daily Detroit is one of the finest sources of, amongst other things, real shoe-leather reporting throughout Detroit - in an age where that is going extinct so it seems. There is a lot happening on the ground in Detroit these days. Lots of stories, conversations, community efforts and people that do not make the Big Papers often or at all. Detroit can only go up from here and the work of Daily Detroit is integral to that progress.

This is my daily go to podcast! I am so thankful for the work Jer Staes puts into making this a quality podcast about all things Detroit! It’s because of him that I am able to stay up to date on what’s happening in my city while learning something new about every week. Keep up the great work Jer!

From development news, to what to do around town, sports and even politics (that shape the direction our area is going), they have it all covered. If you’re not in the know about what’s happening in and around Detroit, that’s because you’re not tuning in to Daily Detroit! I highly recommend it.

This team puts on a great podcast almost daily. Focus is Detroit but the topics are diverse. What’s new in dining? What’s going on in politics? What’s going on in sports? Just phenomenal that they do such a good job with diverse topics. Great cohosts and external guests too.

This podcast covers a little bit of everything going on around Detroit. The episodes are typically short, but not rushed or shallow. A really good source for picking up news and happenings around Detroit.

Strongly Recommend, especially if you live in Metro Detroit or an ex-pat of the region. A great mix of interviews / news / news you won’t hear many other places, spotlights on all things metro detroit: Food, sports, etc Easy listen….. must listen

Amazing content, always up to date and on top of super local stories! Development, restaurant reviews and openings, updates on local political races, and best of all sport; as they actually cover DCFC!! (Detroits soccer team for those who don't know.)

I tuned in for a DCFC segment and once it ended I just let a bunch of older episodes play. They cover so many topics! It's informative, entertaining and short enough to listen to everyday. I'm glad I found you guys!

I listen to this podcast b/c of your “sharing what to know and where to go in Metro Detroit” . leave the politics out of it. Steve Friess episode was VERY cringe worthy and I had to unsubscribe.

As a Michigan native who moved for school a while back, I really enjoy this show as a way to connect to home. Entertaining and informative!

Never before has independent local coverage been so important. This podcast does it as well as large news organizations, and adds their own engaging style.

Stick to the script - what’s to know and where to go in Detroit - I have been enjoying that part of the show but please stay away from your own private opinions - that’s when I turn you off

Even better than friends and family at keeping me up to date on what’s going on in Detroit.

Always at least a few really interesting things, usually more! They don’t waste a lot of time with side conversations, but still casual and entertaining.

I have been a fan of Daily Detroit since it started. I love that they have created a podcast for local news. The fact that they don’t do the regular “if it bleeds it leads” trope like other news outlets is refreshing. Keep up the good work!
