    Fantastic
John has amazing speakers on his podcast and gives them the room to tell their stories. It’s my way of having a speaker meeting on demand! Keep up the good work!

    The best!
This is the my favorite recovery podcast. John’s interview style is relaxed and he brings out the best in his guests. I really feels like “A meeting between meetings”. Keep up the great work!!

    Great show but lacks diversity
Lots of recovery and great stories on this podcast but the host seems to have a lot of men on the show and very few women. Would also love to hear more stories from people who identify as non-binary/trans. I get it, it’s free and I enjoy it but the content from only men grinds my gears.

    Great guests, too much intro
I skip over roughly the first ten minutes of table setting on this podcast every time because I don’t want to listen to the host, I want to listen to the guests.

    Nothing but knowledge
Being new to recovery has been challenging. Learning about alcoholism has truly been eye opening. Having such a podcast to help me gain knowledge truly has helped me accept that I truly am powerless over alcohol(along with the big book. This podcast is my meeting between meetings and so much more. Thank you.

I was looking for information onAlcoholism. I came across this great podcast. I listen to this daily and I really listened to many of the sessions. This truly is a meeting in between meetings. John does a remarkable job at keeping the audience engaged. The speakers and their stories are remarkably wonderful. I will continue to listen to these podcasts. Recommend them to anyone you know who is looking for help.

“Meeting between meetings” taking on a whole new meaning
I’ve been listening to John M’s Sober Speak podcast regularly since starting my journey in sobriety (July 2019). In the very beginning, I was fortunate enough to have my choice of a variety of daily meetings. I used this podcast as a “buffer” to listen to in my headphones while at work, doing chores around the house, long drives, etc. Now that the pandemic has taken its toll on my regular meeting schedule, I found myself relying upon only 4-5 weekly meetings. I have been so thankful that John M. has kept the episodes fresh and current. I am able to make it a few days between meetings without getting “squirrelly” but I enjoy plugging in to Sober Speak whenever I please to stay connected with my program of recovery. My favorite recovery podcast!
I love the way John M conducts the interviews and love the “meat and potatoes” content he shares from the 12 steps via his guests! Perfect supplement to my program & meeting schedule. I’ll definitely “keep coming back!”

    Laughter
Really enjoy the guest’s stories. The host’s laughs are very distracting. I understand that he is not laughing at the guest speaker but it’s always at a time when the speaker is being very sincere. Hope he reads this so he will keep the laughter at a bare minimal.
