Most podcasts that I have listened to that explore the Viking world/history , or Norse Mythology in general, are very longwinded or self promoting! This podcast explores the subject matter in a concise, thorough and entertaining fashion that keeps the listener engaged! My only gripe is I wish this podcast would drop new content more frequently! Go With The Gods!

This is not your average run of the mill info dump podcast. This man brings you real people how work in the field or have a great understanding of the time the Vikings influenced the world. Be ready for some great interviews and sometimes a different way of looking at that time period. I’ve greatly enjoyed this show and you will too.

Keep going Noah I love all of the information that you give about history and Vikings

I’ve only started listening so naturally I started with the fist episode. Good content and dialogue but I hope the editing gets better because the sometimes the guest’s answers I’ve leaps the host’s question making the conversation very difficult to follow for a few seconds.

I'm new to this podcast but so fast it's been very interesting. The guests are very learned and forthcoming and seem to be enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge. However, I have found that towards the end of the first two podcasts Noah asks a question to the guest and their response to the question starts playing over the top of Noah's question before it has been asked. I'm guessing this is an editing issue but it is noticeable.

I have just started listening to this show. The format is great, many highly regarded guests came on, which is not common among many history shows. The only suggestion is I wish the host could condense his questions which tend to be multiple and often mean the same thing.

I’ve had a long interesting in the history and culture of the Vikings and, while there are some very good podcasts on the subject, this is definitely one of the best. Every episode is a wonderful discussion about an aspect of Viking history. The host is knowledgeable and conducts wonderful, perfectly structured interviews with experts. If anyone asks me what Viking podcast they should listen to, this is the one!

I love how in depth the explanations are into some of my favorite stories. I’ve always felt a kinship with Norther Europe so I like to absorb any bit of history I can get my hands on.

Love this podcast as well as the other podcasts and YouTube channels it has lead me to! I’ve been obsessed with Viking history since I was a little kid so this really gets me excited! I’m a graduate student currently studying history so it’s wonderful to have a podcast that myth-busts without putting down any media that gets people interested in history. It’s a great way to go about history and keeping people interested in learning about the past 🙌🏻

Vikings have always interest me, and this show does a great job of keeping the topic interesting while giving lots of well researched material. I appreciate that the host dives right in to the subject of the episode and doesn’t talk over his guests—letting them fully articulate their information. Make sure to put them on your listening list!

What a great archeology interview with Sarah Maltby at the Jorvik Viking Centre. It’s amazing when you can hear the love and passion for a subject in a persons voice. This is doubled when the interviewer humbly shows his expertise and excitement too! I wish I could go to the JORVIK Viking Festival in February 2019 (I'm going to check out Stories from WWII next!)

This podcast is fun! Noah provides information through his guests but he also has authors on who explain and describe their books. He interviews people in the field. I love the myths discussions. Fun and informational podcast.

The host does a great job to make the podcast informative and interesting! Interviewing guests also provides different perspectives of the history. Highly recommend it if you want to know more about the vikings!

Top notch guests, great audio quality and the host has real skill.

It is nice to listen to an podcast on the history of the Vikings that is based on historical facts, not cultural stereotypes. Like most peoples the Vikings had a complex society. Their history was written by the Europeans who were the subject of the raids, so these biased accounts have colored our understanding of them. Thank you for giving a realistic and factual account of them.

I've listened to some of the other Viking podcasts out there and they all pale in comparison to this one! Noah is an outstanding host and features great guests and topics. Keep up the great work and can't wait for me! Skal!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite history podcasts. The History of Vikings is a fascinating and very well-produced show. The host, who I think is a medievalist himself, follows an interview format, which I especially like. Guests in the episodes I've listened to have been academic scholars on the Viking Age, fictions authors who write on the topic, and noteworthy figures involved in Viking pop culture today. I think one of the strengths of the show is that it branches out into popular culture (for example an interview with Medieval Warfare Magazine) and addresses how we remember the Vikings because let's just be honest....Vikings are just cool!

Noah takes a magnifying glass to a people who have been stereotyped as little more than raiders wearing horned helmets when really their history is rich with all the nuances that make up a complex society. This podcast is well researched, really easy to listen to, and covers a wide range of fascinating topics from where the term “Viking” actually comes from to shieldmaidens and the roles women played in Viking society. A lot of the episodes feature experts in the field, which adds even more depth to the already distinguished podcast Noah has produced. We’re constantly learning something new with each episode, and we can’t get enough! We definitely recommend this podcast to anyone interested in Vikings or history in general.

Growing up, I was always intrigued by Vikings and Norse mythology. I love how Noah breaks it all down and puts in so much work into each episode. You can tell that there is a lot of passion behind the storytelling! Fantastic job!
