    Brilliant show
I related to this as a visual artist too. Allowing for the quiet spaces to digest the material spoke to me enormously.

    Good entertainment and educational
I’ve been a long time fan of his books and videos. He’s actually one of the people that inspired me to hike thru the PCT and live an adventurous traveler lifestyle. I really enjoy his storytelling abilities and he also integrates facts and interesting history about countries he’s traveled in. Francis has a multicultural perspective knowing french and American culture and pointing out strengths and weaknesses in how people are in other countries. Travelling in every African country for 5 years is impressive and shows the patience and dedication he has to accomplish his goals and write good travel books. I’m also into cryptocurrency trading and appreciate the information he shares in the show. Some guests can be kind of strange most are pretty good and share funny stories and experiences. Some more episodes on traveling in Central Asia would be nice.

    Takes you beyond travel
Francis interviews many travel experts but also goes beyond typical travel tips and tricks. He talks about Bitcoin, pandemics, spirituality, and a broad assortment of other topics. I love him!

    Authentic, "well traveled" topics
I've read a few of Francis' books which are fantastic so I was excited to start listening to his podcasts. As a fairly well seasoned traveler myself, it's especially refreshing to listen to his shows during this pandemic when travel is sadly the last thing on my list. He hosts really interesting interviews and covers a good range of topics, the big plus being that it's all very authentic, feeling more like a conversation at a bar or at the dinner table than with a host reading off a list of prepared questions.

    Insightful and Enjoyable.
Great podcast. Francis is well traveled, and offers insightful points of view on often complex issues. He does the research and does so in an entertaining fashion. Highly recommended!

Travel for privileged tech bros. I listened. You don’t have to.
Such a shame as I came to this from the informative “Extra Pack of Peanuts” podcast and to be honest there is truly impressive, insightful and helpful info to be had here but this guy is soooo backwards and obnoxious that It makes the episodes unlistenable. If you want to listen to an impossibly smug, narcissistic, self satisfied, libertarian tech bro tell you how poor and working class people working in shops should be friendlier then this is for you. This guy’s wealth and sense of entitlement just oozes through every episode like a toxic cancer. A naïf who has no knowledge of world history or contemporary politics. While you will accidentally get some good info about traveling you'll have to cringe while listening to this jagoff fluff up his own ego. Ugly. For shame.

    Lots of profanity
As a writer, Francis is a great story teller. He also knows some real adventurers. I was excited to listen to the podcast, but unfortunately there’s a lot of profanity and Francis doesn’t give his guests an opportunity to answer the questions he asks. I would love to hear more stories from the guests.
