    New Listner
I recently found this podcast. I have listened to several so far. I will be graduating this spring! I am on episode 8 and it made me giggle. At the time of the recording you lived in Kentucky and talked about loving the spring here. I have lived here my entire life…my allergies go haywire in the spring. Thank you for this podcast!

    A blessing!
I am in my 3rd year of teaching after waiting many years to get my own classroom. I work on a small private school and I am currently teaching a 1/2 grade combination with ages 5-8. This year most of my class is boys. I have been struggling with many different things and trying to use the tools that I was taught in school many years ago. While researching over the summer I came across an add on facebook for you and I took the free training you offered. I then found this podcast and I have gone back to the beginning to listen. You have been able to give me ideas that I didn’t think about and I have been able to incorporate them into my class with success. I want to thank you for everything you are doing and please keep it up. I have even shared with others how wonderful you are.

    Best Teaching Podcast Ever!
This podcast is the BEST TEACHER RESOURCE! From no teaching experience at all, I learned everything from here. I could not listen to each episode fast enough and I took in every bit of information. Now, I’m in my 5th year of teaching, and I still cannot believe how I got here. I get asked how I became the teacher that I am, and I credit this podcast. Thank you so much and please keep sharing!!!

    New listener, big fan!
I’ve been teaching preschool since 2016. I’m graduating with my bachelor’s in December, but as I live in a state that allows it, I am already teacher of record in a 1st grade classroom. I’m in one of “those schools,” and I honestly was starting to believe that maybe I wasn’t cut out for the elementary scene. I had been searching for a podcast that might give me some hope and I’m SO GLAD I found you! I can hear the smile and empathy in your voice and it’s so comforting as a new teacher to feel like someone is in my corner. Thank you, Dr. Friesen! I already ordered the book and am looking forward to both the Academy and the Club in the future! P.S. - I implemented the hall monitor job this week and my class went from being rowdy and crazy in the hallway to now you could hear a *pin drop* when we walk the halls. Mind. Blown! -Ms. Harper

    Amazing
I love this entire program. As an new educator I feel like I have my own personal mentor right in my pocket. Anything great will take work but the thinking aspect is not there. The racking your brain trying to figure out what to do is not there. This was the best 300+ dollars I spent. It also has payment plan options. The podcast are also helpful. Trust me it will not be a waste of time.

    Not just for beginners
I am not a first year teacher! I have been teaching for 18 years and I have loved the ideas and appreciated the advice on getting School started right, Re-addressing a lot of of the systems that haven't been working for me and trying something new! You can always improve and get better no matter how long you've been been teaching! And this podcast has been so helpful. I am actually excited to start my school year and see big improvements in my management, my organization, and the time I get to spend with my own family!

Practical advice you can use today
I have listened to almost every episode of the podcast. When I was a permanent substitute teacher, Lori’s voice accompanied me to work every morning where I was able to implement things she teaches each day. Teaching is hard and it’s not something you can get better at over night, but you can learn one thing every day and try to bring it into your teaching practice to improve gradually over time and this podcast can be your guide. I loved it so much I purchased Lori’s book which is also amazing.

God Sent Podcast for New Teachers!
I feel like Dr. Lori’s podcast is God sent to me. After working in marketing for 20 years, I recently decided to try teaching. While I have a master’s degree, it isn’t in education and I feel like her podcast series is the best gift I’ve ever been given - it’s like a free master’s class series that I can rely on for valuable information I feel like I couldn’t get anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Lori for all the great resources and advice you give! It means so much to me and I’m sure thousands of others!

Super helpful as a first year teacher
There are so many things you don’t think about at situations that you run into that you don’t know how to handle as a first year teacher! This podcast is super helpful!

I wish I found this sooner.
I will be a first year 4th grade teacher (same grade I student taught in) starting at the end of July 2024. Although I am far from new to elementary education. For the last 7 school years I have been working as a substitute teacher, staff building sub, and a special education paraprofessional. I am going to a new school to begin my classroom teaching career and another big switch I am going from a traditional public school in a local district to a charter school. I haven’t seen any of the school other than the office area and conference room where my interview took place, I was lucky enough to meet several staff during my interview. But I am pretty nervous, but luckily I have a fair amount of classroom experience to draw upon. I have been binge listening to episodes of your podcast and have heard a lot of very useful information and I would agree that coming through a transition program so often in my classes I had to laugh at what the text book was saying or even some of the articles as to how something is being explained versus how it actually gets done inside a classroom.

    Amazing for New Teachers
I’m going into my second year teaching and Lori’s podcast has been so helpful in navigating “everything you need to know”! I first found this podcast on a whim but it is now my favorite podcast for all things teaching. I love how varied the topics are and how thorough Lori is with her information and guests. I also really appreciate the realistic insight and references to her personal experience (negative and positive). I recently I joined the READY for School Academy and I would highly recommend! She lays out everything you need to start the school year on the right foot and provides a wonderful and engaging community through the Facebook Group and Zoom calls. Love everything Lori does!!
