Jacquie R. S.A tree that doesn’t stop giving !More than a good way to pass the time, the creative process is an invaluable resource for any individual who follows some strain of passion in their private, personal, or professional lives and/or someone who has considered their place in this world on sociological, political, or philosophical levels. As an artist and sometimes overly-indulgent thinker myself, this podcast is a space I can come to for nuggets of inspiration when I only have 15 minutes to spare. One doesn’t have to look far to feel spoken to intimately, compassionately, or inquisitively on this channel! Highly recommend!

Virgi2.0Blown away by The Creative ProcessI absolutely love The Creative Process. Its constantly challenging the frontier logic that taught me how to distinguish between art, literature, social science, and STEM. Too often it feels like creative and scientific production occupy totally different dimensions of our lives. How will we ever innovate if this continues to be the case? The interdisciplinary exchange and dedication to collapsing diehard intellectual binaries that defines this podcast series is not just fascinating, it’s teaching us how to pool together our conceptual resources and innovate.
-

Socorro369Insightful Fusion of Environmentalism and the Creative ArtsThe Creative Process podcast, with its focus on intersectional environmentalism, stands as a beacon of innovative and meaningful dialogue. Each episode is a masterful blend of arts, culture, and environmental consciousness, shedding light on how these realms intersect and influence each other. The host navigates the complexities of intersectional environmentalism with finesse, weaving it seamlessly into discussions about books, film, music, art, and writing. This approach not only broadens the scope of environmental discourse but also enriches our understanding of the creative arts. The podcast effectively highlights how environmental issues are deeply embedded in our cultural and artistic expressions, and vice versa. What captivates me most is the podcast’s ability to connect environmental activism with the creative process. It showcases how artists, writers, filmmakers, and musicians are responding to and influencing environmental discussions. This intersectional approach brings a fresh and necessary perspective to both environmentalism and the arts, emphasizing the power of creative expression as a tool for awareness and change. The discussions on this podcast are not only intellectually stimulating but also deeply inspiring. They urge listeners to think critically about their environmental impact and the role that arts and culture play in shaping our relationship with the planet. The guests, ranging from environmental activists to renowned artists, offer diverse and enlightening perspectives, making each episode a unique learning experience. For anyone interested in how environmentalism intersects with arts and culture, or for those who seek a deeper understanding of how creativity can be harnessed for social and environmental good, this podcast is an invaluable resource. JessCooley6455David Fenton, Activist's Media HandbookBefore listening to his podcast episode, I had no idea who David Fenton was, but I definitely plan to keep an eye out for him as I continue to learn more about the climate crisis. His views on effectively mobilizing the public mind to promote environmental reform is relatable yet fascinating. He emphasizes using existing mental frames to transform the language and imagery around climate change and promote discourse from all sectors of the community. If everyone can agree that pollution is a bad thing, why aren't we all on the same page about what to do? Fenton presents reasonable solutions that require dramatic shifts in thinking from different influential groups, mainly the activist community. Not only should they be focusing more on mass awareness and unity rather than tackling specific structural issues, but we should diminish practices that enforce the Enlightenment Fallacy, preventing the proper dissemination of relevant ideas in support of distinct ideas about about climate change.
-
case-IAn All-Encompassing Lesson for the FutureI find these episodes to link together so well. After listening to David Fenton, I can make connections between his expertise and the expertise of people in vastly different topics. Truly shows how efforts to change the world are involved in every aspect of society, and it’s fascinating to hear the stories.
