I love the body of the work, but the bell sound is extremely harsh and disrupting. I hope Lynn will reconsider this choice. I’ll get my takeaways somewhere else until then.

Few shows provide such expertly insights into various domain of knowledge in a compact and engaging format. Absolutely an enlightening and informante podcast. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to get glimpses of the frontiers of civilization’s evolution.

One of my favorite things about 3 Takeaways is the diversity of business and thought leaders and academics. Each episode is so different from the next but equally as interesting. I love that one week I can learn about how all senses affect taste and the next I can learn about how to stop AI from taking over the world. 3 Takeaways really makes you think and expands your worldview. Would definitely recommend.

Lynn Thoman offers a refreshing format - simple yet mesmerizing. She engages each guest with insightful questions. Surprised more people don’t know about it (yet!). And the length is just right!

The interviews are informative and to the point, and they would be perfect to assign for classes… I only wish the sound quality was better. Please invest in a good microphone or a recording equipment so the quality of the audio matches the quality of the interviews!

Great questions for big-league interviewees who have fascinating things to say: CNN Chief International Correspondent Clarissa Ward, Monty Python’s John Cleese, Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman, ClassPass founder Payal Kadakia, former Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd… the list goes on and on. And all interviewed with thoughtful, insightful questions by Columbia University Professor Lynn Thoman. She asks the questions I wish I had the wit to ask.

When you combine fabulous guests with excellent and topical questions, the result is this 5 star podcast. The hostess is knowledgeable and probes deeply rather than acting as a fan/groupie. Great content. Time well spent.

The podcast brings in more of the highest-profile speakers (Bill Gates, Larry Summers, etc.) than any other interview-based podcast I have listened to. The structure is both to-the-point, but lets the speaker elaborate on his/her thoughts in a free form style. As someone considering entrepreneurship and in the process of articulating my mission, I find the content to be informative and encouraging.

By asking the right questions, Lynn Thoman covers a lot of ground over a short period of time, but she never skimps on the details . With fascinating topics and knowledgeable guests, this podcast might be titled 3 Takeaways, but you’ll walk away with far more.

Lynn did a superb job of preparing for my interview. Her questions were insightful and allowed me to share what was most important and useful for her audience from the new edition of my book, Influence. Lynn's genuine interest and enthsuiasm for my work was palpable and made our conversation even better.

I’ve listened to all the interviews in the 3 Takeaways podcasts series. While the Topics and guest are terrific, the glaring lack of diversity -not a single person of color- is unforgivable. The overwhelming if not all of Lynn’s guests are successful, white, higher academia, left leaning individuals Personally I have nothing against members of the aforementioned groups but I feel like they only served as an echo chamber and self confirmation for Lynn’s biases and interests. I wish there were more critical, dissenting views and opinions to provide the listener with a more comprehensive/balanced point of view - Lynn is very doting and never challenges or offers opposing views to her guests Overall the show is worth listening because it contains more advantageous information and advice than ‘fluff.’

It’s ridiculous how few women are featured on this podcast, especially since the interviewer is a woman! She’s also a boring interviewer and the episodes feel a little too edited. There’s no personality to it.
