If you have to say umm between every other word. You are unlistenable. Get better

Every episode of this podcast is 10% interesting backstory and behind the scenes of the movie they’re talking about and 90% backseat directing about what they would have done differently if they made the movie. Also, a pet peeve of mine, even though they have franchise in the name of the podcast they decide to cover director’s full catalogs enough that it seems like they didn’t think through the concept of the podcast that much to begin with.

As a normal person who can’t stand wokeism, I get it, free speech is endangered. However, the crusade to be woke by Scott is ridiculous, it’s not “unhoused” it’s homeless.

This is easily the best podcast Scott and Nick have made. Love the breakdowns of production histories. I don’t always agree with them, but I’m always glad to hear what they have to say.

One of my favorite movie podcasts!!! Well researched and very entertaining. Well produced and great guests when they have guests, still great when they discuss on their own. Scott and Nick are great!!!

I’ve been listening to Scott and Nick across the Dueling Genre network, and it’s great to have them do movie deep dives on a non-by minute basis. And I get to rewatch the movies they cover, which is a nice bonus. Looking forward to the announced franchises coming up.

One of the best around, and I should know!

The hosts of this podcast, Scott and Nick, love movies and are very knowledgeable about how they are made. They call it like it is without giving bad faith takes. They are also decent people who can tell where a filmmaker was coming from, even if they didn’t quite get there. The show is also very funny and informative about the art and business of film as well as telling each individual story for the movies they talk about.

A great, positive, informative show about movies people know, but should probably know more about.

Even when they’re talking about movies I don’t care about I still listen

This is shaping up to be another great podcast from Dueling Genre! Well researched, thoughtful and engaging. Learn something new about your favorite movies or find a reason to watch something you skipped over in the past.

Tuning into Franchisography’s very first episode about Men In Black I have found myself pausing their discourse to go watch the film again. The way Scott and Nick talk about these films is like a family member that they have grown up with side by side. I have seen Men in Black countless times but I’m on my way to watch it again thanks to the amount of detail and passion they have for this topic. I was already a fan of Dueling Genres, and this show certainly competes for its star.

Just like Dueling Genre’s other shows, Franchisography has the same sense of affection and fascination with the subject matter. Scott and Nick spent years deeply analyzing and discussing the Back to the Future films and Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy. It’s great to have them back together and doing what they do best: obsessing over movies worthy of obsession. I can’t wait to hear more!
