If The Office was a fragrance podcast...
If The Office was a fragrance podcast Dan is Michael Scott, James is Dwight, Fliss is Pam and Ben is Creed.

Hard to Hear with a Headache
"This is normal, right? You sniff everything in life?" Yes Ben, and this is what finally tipped me into the perfume world! I realized I tended to sniff everything else, why not throw in sniffing something nice on myself! This podcast is easy to ignore in the background or actively listen to the friendly but brutal teasing mixed in with self aware politeness and genuine camaraderie between the hosts. Usually I hate listening to long intros of host updates, but I find this group entertaining and enjoy the long tangential episodes. I often find myself chuckling, which is not the best idea with a headache! I appreciate hearing men talk enthusiastically and un-self-consciously about perfume. The addition of Fliss brings more balance and disagreement to the perspectives, and enhances the lighthearted fun of the dynamic. The fact that I rarely know the perfumes being referenced doesn't even bother me.

    More research, please.
I appreciate the opinions, but often it is apparent that the hosts do not know much about the houses, perfumes, or people of whom they speak. For instance, they have repeatedly bashed Luca Turin, and last episode one member even remarked that Turin’s reviews do not hold much weight because Turin does not back up his reviews with any cultural context or perfume history. However, much of Turin’s perfume writing is in fact placed within a cultural and historic framework, and furthermore, Turin almost single-handedly put certain indie houses on the map and called out designer houses who were trying to pull the wool over the consumers’ eyes by selling them overhyped derivative swill. It’s just lazy podcasting to not know these facts and only contributes to the unfettered world of misinformation.

Must Listen for Any Fragrance Enthusiast
Really glad that Dan The Fragrance Weirdo is finally starting to put content up in addition to his Instagram. I really enjoyed when he was on the now defunct Scent Geeks podcast & was bummed when they closed up shop, so having Dan & crew fill their shoes from a UK pod perspective is awesome. He’s a true collector with a smart attitude toward what makes a fragrance appealing, regardless of the price. I was not familiar with his co-hosts who also really interesting & have awesome insights, so this is definitely a must listen for any fragrance enthusiast.

    Keep them coming
I really look forward to these episodes. Never thought I’d get into a podcast with such long episodes, but I love it. Am I familiar with 80% of the fragrances they talk about? No, but I keep coming back for more.

    Perfect for Fraghead Anglophiles
Love learning about perfumes, hearing them go off on tangents that have nothing to do with perfume, and hearing Fliss say kumquat! Fliss is my favorite! Kidding actually-Dan, James, Ben, and Fliss all bring their own perspectives and between the 4 of them I figure it improves the odds that someone will pronounce things correctly (seriously the perfume world is fraught with tricky words)! Happy to listen to these swearing leftists. (Although their politics aren’t particularly apparent to me except that they aren’t wa**#^rs. Just responding to an earlier review.) The swearing is true, colorful, and funny.

If you love perfume this is lots of fun
It’s a real pleasure hearing this podcast. I would put it up there with Eugene’s, in that it is intelligent and entertaining. Way to go, so happy to listen to all the episodes and a huge thank you.

    How is this clean?
How is this rated clean? There is a great deal of profanity and coarse language that is simply unpleasant. A lot of of the episodes are fun in spite of this and I discovered some new perfumes as a result. Lastly it has an occasionally annoying leftist attitude that is hard to ignore.

    Stinks
Please get to the point, as funny as you think the rambling intro is to you, it’s not. It’s annoying and made me give up on what I’d hoped was a new podcast discovery. Stinky.
