this podcast itches a part of my brain I never knew needed itched.
as an ex-JW, this is the podcast that has helped me with my healing and reconstruction. Stacy does an excellent job of articulating a lot of the hypocrisy, inconsistent application of doctrine and discipline, and the tumultuous social culture that is cultivated by the Jehovah’s Witness organization. He uploads once a week but I really need more to be honest his podcast is invaluable to anyone PIMI, PIMO, POMO, etc. No notes. Just an excellent analysis of the inner workings of the doctrine with a lot of laughs. If you’re 4/20 friendly, smoke first before you listen the episode about JWs and Sex. It will have you in stitches guaranteed.

    As a regular Christian…
As a regular Christian I do have a hard time with the way he talks about the Bible itself, this is why I only give four stars. I don’t take issue with anything else and I can sympathize with his feelings and opinions on the JWs. I happen to know a few ex-JWs, my dad’s wife and her kids. They were broken by the organization and knowing their story gave me a heart for those still in the religion. Of course, my heart is to reach them with the historic Gospel of Christ. As to the show, I think he does a great job and would recommend it for anyone who just wants some really good stories about the inner workings of the organization. I’m only a few episodes in, but I’m committed to listening to all of them as I do my work. God bless!

    Very informative
As the daughter of parents that believed this was the true way to worship God, learning how they manipulate people into this belief is enlightening. I wish I had discovered it earlier.

    Apostate
You’re not a JW but you keep up with their updates just to contradict them….Um…ok. Just to be clear I’m not a JW but you are definitely an apostate.

Lessons you can learn from the Bible
Those sly foxes! They are engaging the new generation! How will many of the spiritually young feel, when the midweek meeting has a half an hour part focused on them, how important they are, that they have a special place in the bosom of Christ. Or how about this “ At seeing this, Jesus was indignant and said to them: “Let the young children come to me; do not try to stop them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such ones” (Mark 10:14) they will be like “GOD”!! Well done
I left the religion about 16 years ago and never looked back. In fact never even thought about the residual I carried with me all these years until recently. It’s very helpful to hear your commentary.

    Thank you
For creating this podcast. My mother joined this cult several years ago. I am so hurt by her choice and I have been devouring this podcast in an effort to understand why this loving woman has joined a manipulative, abusive, misogynistic doomsday cult.

Perhaps the best JW deep dive
I am also a JW child of the 70’s and 80’s. Stacy dissects the beliefs of JW’s in a humorous and completely accurate way. The Watchtower definitely wants you to forget this stuff or never learn about and they SURE don’t want you to think critically about their teachings. Put on your thinking cap and get ready to smile and heal.
