    daddy juan is best teacher
Kamusta ka Juan! You are the best teacher and I wish I found you earlier. Your personality is the realest and I love your down to earth teaching style. The music at the end is a nice personal touch. I've honestly learned the most from you and you have something that other language learning programs don't. I don't know what it is, but it reminds me of when my family taught me tagalog when I was young. Salamat, Juan! Paalan!

    More episodes, please!
I really like your channel. I visit the Philippines frequently, again this coming May. It's my dream to be able to talk with no translator. Will you make more episodes?

What's the deal with the music?
It was easy to grasp the phrases as you only received 2 or 3 an episode, but Juan only speaks it a few times. It is never used contextual and the approach is very sluggish. Being married to a Pinay I found the immersion approach much easier. Since there are only few podcasts teaching this it leaves little substitution advice. Work on the approach and make it more contextual and remove the music. Is this a radio station or tagalog lessons?

    Thank you!
This has helped me so much! My mom won't teach me Tagalog so finding this is amazing. It has helped me to understand my mom a lot more.

    Can't download.
Podomatic says that the user has reached their bandwidth limit and that I have to download their stupid non working app to stream to content. Too much hassle!

    Solid introductory series
Good, basic Tagalog for anyone interested. The music at the end of each episode is a fun way to continue learning. Subscribed and will continue to repeat episodes. Thanks!

    Too bad there's no more
My kiddos enjoy it. Lola lives so far away and this is a fun refresher and intro for my kids (and myself). We wish there were more! Thanks Juan!!

    Great vocabulary expander
This is the podcast to download if you already know the basics of Tagalog grammar/structure and phrases but want to learn specific words. For reference, I am half-Pinay and my mum & relatives speak Tagalog enough around me that I often understand the gist of the conversation, but since I’m unfamiliar with vocabulary, I often cannot articulate back to them in Tagalog. Now with Juan’s help I’ll be able to do so :).

    Pinoy pride ^^♥
Uwah! This podcast is amazing ^^ I'm half-filipino, but my mom is from Cebu rather than mainly tagalog speaking Manila... So I don't get to hear Tagalog all too often :'( I'm so happy I found this podcast!! It's helped me so much ^^♥

    technical aspecs
i found this podcast to be very helpful. i am however looking for a podcast to go further into the technical aspecs of the language. like sentence structure and particle usuage. juan would you mind going that far or can you reccomend someone who can? i really want to learn tagalog and fully understand it. btw the music at the end of every podcast was a great idea.

    A good pace for beginners
I am a nurse who works with several filipinos; I am a Spanish speaker, also. I thought it would be fun to interact and learn their new language. this podcast is good because it goes at a slow enough pace , so you don't have way too many phrases to remember. It is nice the way Juan clearly pronounces each syllable, too.
