Best Mad Men Podcast out there
I’m 10 years too late, but this is a great podcast to listen to after every episode. John does a great job of researching and really hosting the show, Paul is funny. They didn’t do season seven to completion, only the first episode, like most great artist, the good die Young. (but they didn’t die just the podcast)

    Drunk guy ruins it
The drunk guy who tries waaaaay too hard to be funny makes this show unlistenable. Too bad because the other guy is quite good.

    Grumpy old men
I have grown tried of current podcasts of this show with their overly liberal critiques of a time that was obviously more racist, sexist, and bigoted than the year 2021. And then I found this podcast which made me reassess my opinions. The hosts are Don Draper apologist and find fault with all other characters that challenge him. They espouse some odious opinions that do belong in the 1960s. Gentlemen check your calendars and welcome to the 21st century.

    “John”
Have you ever had a conversation in which you said the other person’s name as often as Paul says “John”?

    Love ❤️❤️❤️
This is a great show!!!! Years too late. You never mentioned how Don showed up at the hospital for Betty. Don actually cared about Betty on a non sexual way. Great job guys!!!

This is THE Mad Men recap podcast
John and Paul and sometimes Kate :) delivered for MM fans a tremendous podcast that is as great fun for a listen as when they first cast it. Thanks to Netflix we can all still enjoy MM rewatching and thanks to The Mad Men Recap, we can still enjoy these hilarious casts. The only missing thing is a full recap of the final MM season. Thank you Recap bros!

    Moving on!
I'm super late to the game, but you guys are the best! I laugh so hard I cry! I love the insights and the humor, you're the perfect combo. I only wish I had found out about this sooner so I could have participated lol

    What happened to this podcast?
I have been enjoying this and am mystified by the abrupt end. What happened to this hilarious podcast? I would love to know if they are offering any other podcasts.

    Mad Men Recap
I feel like the youngest child of a big family where the older kids got to live through something great and I only get to hear stories about it. I'm late to the game but the boys and Kate are fantastic! A well put together show, as it were. Love, love, love it! Sarah from HB :)

    It's S7b.... Where are you??

    New and confused
I just found this podcast and love Pauls wit and wish Kate was on more BUT confused as to why they stopped at beginning of season 7. I am almost caught up and wish they finish remaining episodes. PLEASE :,(. Come back!

    Great, funny podcast!
I'm so happy to have found this podcast! As a new Mad Men watcher, its hard to find podcasts that discuss early episodes. This podcast has every episode of the first 3 seasons (minus one). The brothers play off each other so well, and having Kate's female perspective always adds a great touch to the podcast. I hope they're not gone for good!!
  • HaasEagle
    You are missed
John and Paul, I hope all is well and nothing horrible has befallen either of you. I miss the recap. Particularly, I missed hearing your reactions to this season's events.
  • Mboro-Dave
    haters gonna hate ...
but I like this podcast. John & Paul, what happened? season 7 is a halfway done and only one podcast? I know you're not waiting for Ringo & George. Are you sidelined in LA? Too many trips with Roger? Inquiring minds want to know...
  • Lindabel15
    What happened?
    Is everything OK?
  • HateHipHop
    John yes...Paul no!
Paul needs to check into rehab. Maybe he has, since we haven't seen a podcast since the first episode!
  • Doc Shock 55
    Great Podcast I miss you.
So is Paul busy fighting Spider-man as the Rhino in Amazing Spider-man 2? I really need to hear you guys thoughts on episodes 702-704. I don't care if they're late, I don't care if you review them out of order or do the latest first and go back. Please post some new reviews!

    Where did they go
Missing these guys podcasts ... where did they go?
  • Louispup
    I would stop listening
Hey Guys, love your show. Seriously, where are you? Is everything OK? Love your show. Thanks for the nice reply to my email. But if I need to stop listening in order to bring you back, I'll take the hit. Just give me warning.

    These two guys...
I enjoy every single conversation between the two guys. No complaints. They make me smile every episode. Lots of times, I will listen to their take on the show, then go back and rewatch that week's show. If you're intelligent and have a sense of humor, this is the one for you. Take that, Negative Nellies.
  • Cpgs4
    Hilarious and insightful!
I love this podcast! You guys make me laugh uncontrollably. Thanks so much. Can't wait for the next episode.
  • renada_deshada_OBE
    Horrendous
Saying everything in a jokey voice doesn't make it funny, even if the other guy fake laughs. It's not essential to be funny, but what would cause two unfunny, dim guys who know less than the average viewer to think they should be doing a podcast? Taking 30 seconds to remember Courtney Cox isn't a heroic act of memory; it's confirmation you're inept.
  • tiffiny kallina
    Yay!
I was absolutely thrilled to see the season 7 episode come up in my podcast subscriptions. I couldn't imagine the last season without Paul and Dr. John. Thanks for continuing to put out my favorite Mad Men recap!
  • Erin & the Kits
    Fair enough.
I found this podcast last year and I'm glad it is back for the final season. Paul tends to annoy me, yet I continue to laugh at him and thoroughly enjoy the podcast. Perhaps it's because Dr. John is nice enough to indulge him. I appreciate when they don't bother to dissect the overly complicated metaphors that often appear on Mad Men. You and me both, bros.

Love your casts. Your guys play off each other so well. Keep up the great work, I look forward to tuning in this entire season.

    Paul IS funny
I look forward to each Recap as much as I look forward to each episode of Mad Men. The hosts play off of each other brilliantly. Paul is absolutely hysterical and John has a great dry sense of humor. I re-listened to season 6 last week and the episode where Paul does the "Morning Zoo" sounds had me laughing uncontrollably.
  • gonanci
    "Here's the thing..."
I listen to this podcast as much for Paul's shenanigans as for the actual recap of Mad Men. I think he his hilarious. What 'needs to be said' is being so full of yourself may interfere with your enjoyment of his quirkiness and cause you to think you speak for he masses. Am I right? Or am I right?
  • Fidget45
Podcast even better than the show
I love Dr John's and Paul's podcast! Came in late to the series and watched all with campanion podcast late last year. Finished last Feb and missed Dr John and Paul more than the series!! The haters are full of poo...

A Must- Listen for any Mad Men fan
Paul and John, along with special guest star Kate, offer insightful analysis, witty repartee, and a congenial atmosphere where any fan is welcome to settle in and enjoy. A perfect complement to every episode! Keep up the great work!
  • StuFras
    Paul is not funny
Sorry, but someone needed to say it. He certainly doesn’t get it. John is a very patient man.
  • Jeb_adiah
Great if ya ain't too bright
Lacking in any kind of deeper understanding or thoughts on the show… having just finished breaking bad's podcasts where the shows are packed with things that reveal opinions, deeper meanings and not just surface account of what we see on the show. Paul always comments on why no one laughs at his jokes that aren't funny. Nice try though.
  • L0VING_LIFE
    Awesome show!!!
The show is hilarious. They give great insight into the medical and advertising fields. Very entertaining. If you watch Mad Men you have to listen to this podcast!

Don't usually write podcast reviews but...
...my beloved John and Paul made mention of some negative reviews they'd recv'd on itunes. They did so jokingly, but I can't help but feel a little protective of these guys. I've only been listening to the podcast for a few weeks as I sort of stumbled upon it by accident, but I. love. it. I think Paul is hilarious, and Doctor John is very smooth. (Yes, he totally does sound like John Hamm, but to be fair I don't think Paul sounds like Adam Corrola.) Kate (who AFAIK is Paul's main squeeze) is also great when she stops by. Hope to hear more from her once the final season of Mad Men falls upon us. That's another thing. I don't know what I'm going to do in the off season once I run out of MMR episodes. Maybe I'll open an alpaca farm. Because we all know I've got a-knacka for alpaca.

    Can't believe it's almost over...
Last season coming up!! I've been with the good Doctor and John the whole way. If you're new to the series and catching up on netflix, watch and listen. These guys are the best. Boys, keep up the great work.
  • CherylinAL
    Love this show.
This show is the dessert to the Mad Men buffet. I really enjoy their take on the show.

    paul's wisdom
I have leaned several new words I am starting to use in my vocab thanks to Paul, such as, dick bag and toothless rube to name a couple. I also enjoy the sound board very much and too all who don't, in the words of Paul, are douche bags. God bless.
  • ericmelzer
    Best podcast ever!
Ok, that was hyperbole but here's the thing: this is a great podcast. Paul and Dr. John have a great chemistry together, it's almost as if they were related. Kate is also great when she is around. I've watched every episode of Mad Men and listened to every episode of this podcast so I feel I am qualified to give this podcast the thumbs up. All the other Mad Men podcasts cause me to vomit instantly, and I vehemently regret poisoning my ears with such filth. Seriously, don't even bother with the other ones. This is the real deal. Paul even lives in NYC, you can hear realt NYFD sirens in the background and horns honking from angry Brooklyn drivers; and if you listen really closely you may hear Paul tell you which famous person he resembles! (Hint: it's Paul Giamatti) Great job guys, I know it's the off season so you might not even read this but I wanted to at least give my review and a quick thanks for all the effort you put into this podcast. It is appreciated. I'm excited, yet sad for the final season of Mad Men but it will be great to take the journey with my 2 imaginary Internet friends, Paul and Dr. John.

    Cream of the Crop
Logged in immediately to counteract effect of 'douche-captain' referred to in season finale recap who left a negative review. This the only podcast I bother with, the only one that actually makes laugh sometimes. It's not perfect, but it's real and engaging and I feel like I've been part of a conversation about the program I love so much. Raises a clinking glass of boozy ice to the hosts!!
  • Balv
    Awesome
Great podcast. I love mad men. I know you have heard this a thousand times before John, but I think you sound exactly like Draper!
  • SamIAm21
    When they actually podcast...
It's pretty apparent that they have lost all enthusiasm for this podcast. They recap days and days later. God forbid you critique Paul. He's pretty vindictive and makes sure that you are outted on the podcast. Dr. John tries very hard to put up a good show, but Paul misses big plot themes and forgets the names of most characters. Afterbuzz TV is a far better replacement for this podcast.
  • SnotPantsVomit
    Love this!
This show is a hot mess and I love every second of it! From "Rapey Pete" to "The Place Where Sadness Goes to Die", Paul and Dr John will have you laughing harder than Roger getting yet another chance to fire Burt Peterson.
  • Sebo Edmond
    Best Podcast Ever!
I absolutely love your show. The insight from Dr John (Hamm) and Paul (Giamatti) is a great mix of brilliance and buffoonery, respectively. Keep up the good work guys and I hope Apple iTunes quits trippin' and doesn't make the mistake of removing your show again.

    The Best
Paul and John are the F'ing best. I often think without them life would not be worth living and I would just end it all. 5 stars every time. Love, Listener.

    Guys from Sideways recap MM
You'll have to listen to the show to understand that title. You'll also have to listen if you want to finally get the answer to the question: Where does sadness go to kill itself? I steal funny lines from this show & my friends & family think I'm suddenly witty. What the what? Listen to this show.

    Clink your drink!
Love these guys and this show. Wish the chick came back, but hey, what are ya gonna do? It's like listening to Ginzo and Stan hanging out. Long Live Megan!

    The Best
I have been a big fan of other popular TV podcasts, and recently decided to binge on Mad Men to catch up as a new viewer. Since the Bald Move guys didn't start until S5, I turned to this one when they picked up midway through S3. I intended to swtich once my "regular" recappers became available, but I've got to be honest, John... NOPE! Here's the thing... I didn't expect to love this podcast so much. I still love the BM guys, but this is my favorite TV 'cast out there. It's friggin' hilarious.
  • dbesinclair
    Great stuff
Paul and Dr. John offer funny and insightful commentary on one of my favorite television shows of all time. It's a pure delight! Unlike a lot of podcasts, this one isn't about promoting someone's comedy aspirations or plugging anything other than the main deal. The hosts are a couple of regular guys with day jobs (Dr. John is a physician, Paul is a designer/engineer of some sort) who do a podcast that is just as high quality as what you would expect from larger-scale more "corporate" podcasts that are supported by ad revenue. If you love Mad Men, and you want to sit in on a witty, sometimes hilarious discussion between two fellow fans, you should get on board.

    Fun Podcast
This is a great podcast. I love how it points out things in the show I didn't see the first time around. My only criticism is that I wish they would come out with their episodes sooner. Other Mad Men podcasts are more timely with their uploads. Other than that, great show.
