    Scholastic Protestant Theology
Dr Jordan Cooper’s content is a goldmine of philosophy and theology, as well as a very solid resource for pastoral and practical growth. It boggles my mind how thorough he is on so many different topics, making solid content where he barely ever repeats himself, unlike a lot of other podcasts where you often hear people repeating the same idea in slightly different ways or contexts. That being said, this is not the kind of podcast you can listen to for 6 hours at work - go slowly and make sure you’re digesting what he’s saying otherwise it’ll all go out the other ear My only criticism is that episodes can kind of run together and some tighter editing or sectioning could make things easier to remember and digest (like Gavin Ortlund often does).

    Great Teaching
I’ve mostly watched the teaching on YouTube, but figured I’d give a review here. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Pastor Jordan Cooper’s teaching on historical Protestantism and more specifically the Lutheran position. It has been extremely informative for me, (reformed) who has recently gained a lot more interest in church history. His series on the Augsburg confession in particular is awesome and worth the listen or watch. I’m looking forward to more teaching on Chemnitz. Really enjoy this podcast/channel. Thanks for the work you do Dr. Cooper.

Great Study of Scripture with Cultural and Philosophic Commentary
I’ve been extremely blessed by the teaching ministry of Dr. Cooper. He has a friendly spirit about him throughout these discussions, and he takes the time to describe Lutheran distinctions to people from different backgrounds. If you are interested in either Christianity generally or Lutheranism in particular, I believe Dr. Cooper should be included in your listening stack.

    Love the podcast!
I’m a Reformed Christian, but gain huge benefit from Dr. Cooper. I’ve gained a greater appreciation of the Sacraments, the historic faith, and of Lutheranism. Still Reformed but he pushes me to study. God bless Dr Cooper.

What a blessing of intellectual discussion of faith with solid reason and historicity! Accessible to most well informed intentional lay people.

    A Well-Informed and Compelling Podcast
Dr. Jordan Cooper has a mental mastery over what seems to be the entire realm of the humanities, but particularly Church History, Philosophy, and Theology. In this podcast he gives his opinions on all types of questions pertinent to the Christian life, and advocates from a rich Lutheran perspective. Very worth the listen.

    Excellent tool for learning
I’m an Anglican (日本聖公会), although maybe I’m a closet-Lutheran. I came out of an evangelical and reformed tradition and have been slowly gravitating towards historic Christianity. I recently discovered this podcast, and it has been extremely helpful in explaining things like the sacraments in understandable, biblical language. I appreciate everything Dr. Cooper does here and highly recommend this to anyone seeking solid, orthodox, Protestant theology.

    Solid and thought provoking
Pastor Jordan Cooper is one of those rare humble geniuses. He knows what he's talking about and refrains from speaking about anything about which he feels less than fully educated. Would that we were all like that. What first caught my attention about this podcast is how fair Cooper is to his theological opponents. He actually knows and fairly and accurately represents the other perspective even while disagreeing. Again, would that we were all that way. Please keep up this great and educational podcast and being an outstanding example of a scholar and a gentleman

    Instrumental
This podcast has been instrumental in this former cold-blooded Presbyterian making his way into confessional Lutheranism. I’m indebted to Pastor Cooper!

    Almost worth your time
Full disclosure, I am not a Lutheran. I listened to a few episodes where he contrasts major denominations because I would like to learn more about Lutheranism. These lecturers would be good if you like gross simplifications of your beliefs. So if you already agree with everything he believes it’s a good podcast. If you’re from another denomination it’s mildly insulting.

    Great Resource
I came out of a MacArthurite church where Law and Gospel were not rightly distinguished and there could be no genuine assurance of salvation. I was drawn to the Lutheran tradition because I discovered Luther in college and I started hearing guys like Rod Rosenbladt who sound a lot more like Luther than the contemporary "Reformed" Baptist, if such a label is even accurate. Coming to Lutheranism because of the clear Law/Gospel distinction, I needed to investigate the teachings of the Lutheran Confessions to determine whether they were biblical. Pastor Cooper has been a tremendous help in this regard. I would highly recommend his podcast to anyone interested in historic, confessional Lutheranism. Check out an AALC or LCMS church in your home town. You may be pleasantly surprised.

    Outstanding
Coming from a Pentecostal/Baptist background, I married a Lutheran and wanted to learn more about this denomination. Pastor Cooper has caused me to look into scripture deeper than ever before, and I look forward to each new podcast. The new podcasts on the liturgy have been very helpful to me.

    Face value of the Text
Pastor Cooper is fairly strong when using patristics resources, but weak when arguing against competing interpretations of Scripture. Rather than expositing the text, he says he is "taking the text at face value". Or the text is "clearly" or "obviously" speaking about such and such a thing. He also does not take the time to discuss how his systematic theology is consistent throughout. I had high hopes for this podcast when reading the episode titles, but I was ultimately disappointed.

    Weekly Theology
A lot of theology flies right by me, but Pastor Cooper brings an encyclopedic knowledge and plain speaking to this fine show.

So glad I found this resource
I'm so glad I found out about Pastor Jordan Cooper's podcast through one of his comments on the White Horse Inn blog. He is charitable and he provides informative analysis in matters of faith and church history. I especially appreciate his info on NPP, and I am growing more and more drawn to the Lutheran faith.

    Great Podcast
I found this podcast through Fighting for the Faith and have loved it. As someone who went from Reformed (Baptist) >> Lutheran, it's great to have a pastor that I can relate to. Thank you Pr. Cooper! I pray God continues to bless your ministry
