gcuvuvuvuvuvuvA grate podcastI am a proud owner of a Bambu lab a1 and they don’t really force updates on you.
-
Midwest_CrisOh Boy!I wish I had found this podcast years ago. It is a great resource for 3D printing tips and tricks that exists outside the echo chamber of YouTube and other social media sources. Instead, they have their own little echo chamber that goes deep into whatever they are into at the moment. I have been having a lot of fun going through their past episodes to get their take on some of the pivotal moments in the home 3D printing hobby. I’ll certainly be following this show for a while to come.

TurnpikeEnter political comments, exit a listenerGood show at times, although sometimes too much emphasis on the eclectic and the manufacturers. A recent podcast clearly mocking the newly elected President (not the first time) made me realize the show wasn’t THAT good. Adios.

BamaBryan18Prusa bias?I really like your show, but the last 11 shows have been about some aspect of the Prusa XL. I know it’s still a new printer, but there are other printers that deserve airtime as well. You guys haven’t even mentioned the Bambu Labs heatbed drama. Why the Prusa bias?

Benjamin HeinrichListening to every episode still on Spot*fyThis podcast has been a breath of fresh air. One of few on 3d printing, and this one’s the best. Went all the way back to 2014 and am enjoying hearing the history of the industry and learning a lot. Two personalities that compliment eachother this well on air is a much appreciated rarity!

jkIUswim3rd generationEnjoying the Content. I listened to it throughout my workday. As a 3rd generation to work in a family own manufacturing company I find the insight helpful as we look into additive manufacturing capabilities and our future.
-
Rhanson94Good Content, Misleading NameTheir content is delivered really well but they should consider a name change or change their approach on when they release shows. I completely understand that they do this for free but first reporting about Simplify3D V5 in May 2023 when it was released in December 2022 is odd. Who listens to a show about disappointments with a software initial release when there has since been 5 months of updates and printable Christmas clips in May?
-
AnfiltInterestingReally good show about 3d printers. 90% of the discussion is about tool changers and Simplify3d, which no one uses, but for the other 10% of the show they talk about other 3d print related topics and news.
-
pixelatedrealityDecent, but not timely.Decent show in a category where good audio podcasts are few, but I wish everything they talk about didn’t happen 4 months ago. Why not record and release in a timely manner?

Al from ArkansasMy goto every ThursdayI have been listening to this podcast since 2017. I always get something from these guys. Their varied backgrounds and tendency to do deep dives into the tech is great. They are a bit closed minded about Mendels and dislike Bowdens but that’s ok. They have used them and I appreciate the insight. Well over 400 episodes. I’m looking forward to the next 400+

DgrosenMasterclass in 3D printingSHOWS ARE TOO SHORT. MAKE THEM LONGER. I love listening to this podcast. It is unfortunate is only once a week. The selection of topics, the unbiased discussion and breath of knowledge is unparalleled. I learned so much from listening to it. They have a unique and very didactic way to narrate the intricacies of this art.

paulmh4209Like a time machineI was interested in 3D printing years ago, when the first “consumer” grade printers came on the market. But they were out of my budget, and seemed to come with more problems than I had time to solve. So I let it go for most of a decade, and now I’m back. This show is great — not only for getting me up to speed with the current state of things, but also filling me in on what I’ve missed and how we got to where we are today. It’s also more than a hobby, as 3D printing and scanning are playing an increasing role in my profession. I’ll need to master this field to remain competitive, regardless of whether my business buys actual hardware or sends it out. There is so much good information in this show, and it’s interesting! Thank you.

Cmore GetlessSo much great information! These guys have so much great info to share and I love that they do it without a bunch of advertising. An excellent podcast as long as they stay away from the political stuff 😜
-
JCat56The best!3D printer fans, look no further. No other podcast covering this tech comes close. Super knowledgeable, funny, but most of all, informative. Two great voices, always on target.
-
Daniel BurtVery helpfulThese guys are great, very entertaining and have helped me go from 100% failed 3D prints to successful prints just from some simple advice. Keep up the awesome content and thank you for your contributions!
-
Lemyrrioenjoyable and informativethis is one of those podcasts that i generally like listening to whenever and find that re-listens are valueable to see how part technology informs choices and how our predictions are right or wrong. i find myself suddenly understanding how stepper motors, ground lidar, and tool changing works (or doesn't) without feeling like i had to study. would love to work with these guys someday - great perspectives and balance of work and fun.
-
CdizyGreat Content!Thank you so much for this podcast. You guys do a great job covering content without getting too into the minutia. Also, as a beginner to 3D printing, I very much appreciate you explaining things in easy-to-understand terms for all user skill levels.

John Lee 3DTechnology-neutral*well-delivered*concise*technically accurate & fairAs 3DP has been my full time occupation for the last dozen years, I can confirm that 3D Printing Today has technically sound information and neutral reviews. They do cover the high end industrial additive manufacturing space. But they talk more about the hobbyist to mid-range level machines and materials. Hosts Andy and Whitney take no advertisements, are semi-retired and do the podcast just for fun. So they have a truly neutral outlook to share. And they both have pleasant voices. The editing is consistently good week after week. Kudos! I’m happy to support this podcast with Patreon contributions towards their production costs.

D. Tay.Often Misguided/Wrong,The hosts pride themselves on their knowledge and let you know it. I don’t fault them for that, but it’s hard to look past their criticisms of devices, ideas, and the like, then fail to revise their opinions when proven to be incorrect in their first assessment. Their knowledge isn’t the issue, in my opinion. It’s their arrogance, their presenting themselves as having the final say on subjects, their word is gold. As a side note: the transitional music is the fastest way to give you a headache. The leveling is off, making it much, much louder than their voices. The music is of very questionable taste, leaving my ears ringing and my hand scrambling for the volume controls.

vmemGreat podcast!Very informative, interesting and easy to listen podcast for all things 3D printing. They don’t just talk about 3d printing news but they talk about their experience with different things they have tried and done with their 3D printers and discuss the details about it. They talk about the challenges, what to do and not do for different things (eg Diamond hot end, printing with big nozzles, printing with different kinds of advanced materials, etc etc). This has really been a guide and saved me a lot of time! Thanks guys and keep up the good work!
-
Gambit120Love the thing of the weekGreat informative podcast not long winded like many others. But you still get into the details that make 3D printing easier.
-
John BezanisLove this show!Great informative podcast on all things 3d printing.

TrailerParkTonyStarkBasically....I REALLY wanted to like this podcast, but I lost interest after the first episode I tried listening to was nothing but, “basically, this.....”, and, “basically, that...”. Holy limited vocabulary, Batman! Go ahead... count how many times they say the word “basically” in an episode. It’s absolutely maddening. Guess what? If you just leave that word out of a sentence, it has the exact same meaning, and you don’t sound nearly as inarticulate.
-
PBJ743D Printing Goodness!Excellent content related to the world of 3D printing. They do a great service to anyone looking for balanced perspectives on the topic. Give this podcast a shot. You’ll look forward to every episode. It would be excellent to hear some team up episode’s with Tom & Stefan from the Melt Zone.
-
thomasdunn629Must listen if interested in any part of 3D printingI cannot recommend this podcast enough. I believe it’s the best all around resource for improving at the craft of 3D printing and great jumping off point for further exploration into the topics presented. I’ve been listening to it for years.
-
MattGrobedAwesome Show!Recently found this show after getting into 3D printing not too long ago. However after listening to the past 5 podcast upon release I have since gone back about a year and have been listening to every episode I can get my hands on! Keep up the great work and thank you for an awesome show!

Laurie RoeCoolGood show
-
Rooo6Great even for beginnersAs someone just starting with 3D printing I worried, that a podcast running this long already would only cover “advanced” topics. But with every episode im still picking up bits of good advice, that help me getting started and have better prints. Cheers from Germany!
-
Mr_BabaluKnowledgeable HostsGreat show, very detailed reviews and information given. Just the right time length show and new shows are available on a regular basis. Highly recommended.
-
rigbyjGood stuff!Consistently good content from Andy and Whitney.
-
teamtomGreat information on 3d printing!I listen to them all year long and always meant to leave a review for them. Both are great advocates for the 3d printing community and there is a lot to be learned in these episodes. My suggestion is to go back and listen to the parts that interest you first then start listening to full episodes since some things might be too specific for a casual listener (mosaic palette). Keep up the great work gentlemen!

NonConfrmstsUniteInteresting podcast! Love the content!Overall this is great podcast! It is always nice to hear other's perspective and opinions on 3D printing technology and its various applications. I could do without the occasional sexist comments, for example implying 3D printing jewelry is a female thing and 3d printing model trains is like 3d printing jewelry, but for men. I noticed these sorts of comments in a few episodes, enough for me to point it out, but not so often or outrageous that I'm too offended to keep listening to the interesting topics they cover. I don’t think these comments are said with the intent to offend or be rude in any way. They probably don’t even realize how they sound. Anyway, the content as a whole is great. It’s actually my favorite podcast. They don’t talk over each other, and they cover a lot about hobby and small/freelance business 3d printing tech, related tools and software, and the maker community. Once in a blue moon they talk about industrial 3D printing, though it seems neither of them is particularly familiar with industrial 3D printing in practice. I especially enjoy their discussions about the differences between 3D printing industries (hobby, professional, and everything in between). It would be pretty cool if they did interviews with other folks in various applications of 3D printing.
-
NhedinTerrific! Some very good advice buried in the archives, definitely worth going through if you are new to 3D printing. Also enjoy the news bits to stay on top of changes in the industry. Fantastic job guys, keep up the great work!
-
Nic DawsonGreat source of informationThese guys are really knowledgeable and always have great topics. I am a novice hobbyist and I always learn something new. Thanks guys!
-
Teddy007kongGreat team to learn fromI love how they talk about current topics in 3d printing and keep it all focused as well as relevant. Plus the talks about sla which my first type of 3d printer I've purchased. And there's not many new YouTube videos talking about it. Keep rockin guys !!
-
Rlow04Best 3D printing podcast, hands downDon't let the underscores_and_lack_of_unique_episode_titles fool you, these guys know what they're doing in both podcasting and 3d printing. Great balance of information, fun, news, and valuable content. I'm hooked!
-
Paul HardenAwesome Podcast All AroundI'm still somewhat new to 3D printing in general, only been printing for about 10 months now. I've listened to a few other podcasts and searched the internet for information on 3D printing even long before I owned my printer (Wanda Duplicator i3). I realized early on the best place for information was of course forums, but man, these guys not only know their stuff, they deliver it so coherently. And I'm definitely a visual learner. Keep up the good work guys, I'm a listener forever!
-
Jen d wGreat 3d printing tech podcastI've listened to hours and hours of this podcast and love how it keeps me up to do on new materials, machines, and most of all techniques.

AnitaSaysGreat information for practical applicationI love this show. I have learned a lot listening to these two and I have also implemented changes to my Raise3D N2 following Andy's advice. I can't wait to hear each week's episodes. I've gone from square zero newbie to production line since Sept 2016 (it is Jan 2017 now). I engage in forums, read, listen, and, most importantly, print. Andy's and Whitney's experience is real world and hard won. I value it greatly. Thakk you guys!
-
TheWildfireGuyPractical advice from two guys who get itFabulous podcast by two guys who really understand FFF (filament) 3D printing. Every episode is full of advice, reviews, tips and tricks to get more and better results out of your filament-based printer. They also discuss some sintering projects, but they typically send those out to Shapeways for fabrication. Their day-to-day work is on a wide variety of filament-based machines-Andy in particular seems to own a lot of different machines, and frequently compares them in terms of their design, maintenance, software, capabilities and quality of results. Keep up the good work!
-
IWill2Worth starting at first episode! These guys have several advantages as an expert source First, they are experts. You can here it in their comments to each other as one learns a new technique from the other, or they disagree about sharing the majority of your modeling work on thingiverse and explain why. Second, they keep constantly improving. Their 3D printing, their 3D modeling, their printers, their podcasting techniques, their tools. Experts are certainly people who are constantly learning. Third, they have a knack for taking on some technical subjects while being mindful of an audience that has a portion of new listeners or new 3D hobbyists, and really break things down to keep the show accessible. Keep up the great work and keep sharing your learning, and thus your expertise, with is. Thank you both.
-
El Guapo 1962Great PodcastIt took a while to find the right podcast on 3D printing...maybe was just not looking in the right place but these two gents cover all the aspects - from basics to advanced and I really look forward to the next episode. Thanks guys...keep up the great work!
-
WhippycargoUmmFor me, it's hard to listen all the way though the podcast. The content is good, Andy and Whitney have good voices and go through their weekly subject thoroughly. What REALLY gets to me, and often causes me not to finish the podcast, is Umm. Do they really have to start, or end, every sentence with Umm! It's like fingernails on a chalkboard. Come on guys, you can do better.
-
S.EbersolePure Genius! A must for all 3D printing folks!Andy and Whitney do a great job covering many different aspects of the 3D printing hobby. Do yourself a favor... sit down, strap in, and prepare to learn and be entertained. I usually replay each weeks episode at least 3x each week during my long commute.
