JFONAVGood, But BiasedI’ve subscribed from day one and it’s very interesting to hear how the FBI works. But Ms Williams and her guests fail to recognize the rot that’s been proven time and again in today’s FBI. They consistently say a variation of “In spite of what some people say [or at most] While there may be a few bad agents”…“FBI agents are doing great work.” It would not only be much more accurate to admit there is a problem in the FBI among many agents, it might actually help the situation and show the retired FBI agents want to bring it back to the highest standards. Instead, they minimize the issue. I’m not a rabid fan of any one politician, but you need to show much less bias and be honest with yourself and the listeners.

Woman, not female-hating man.Misogyny alive and wellWill not be listening to this show anymore. Cannot support someone who gives voice to people who support a dictator.

jamddsGood overallEasy to listen to retired law enforcement men n women revisit their glory days. Interesting to hear especially now in light of trumps dismantling of the fbi. Looking forward to podcast creators take on the current de evolution of the bureau. If only we could have had interviews like this for the 60s n 70s too!

turtlemakPhenomenal podcast. Informative, impartial, and a much needed addition to the podcast universe.I love hearing from the different agents in each episode. Their dedication to the cause and reverence for the careers of other agents gives me hope. This podcast is proof that FBI is so much more than what you hear in the news. You will not regret listening!

T-Boune15Insightful for a Guarded a OrganizationI listened to three very different episodes of interest to me including a health care fraud episode, the crisis negotiator during the Boston Marathon bombing, and the Barbara Verica spy episode. It’s interesting to listen to stories from the real agents who worked those cases. Williams has some great access to the best speakers! She is fair acknowledging both women good and some bad things about the organization. I don’t like how the ads interrupt speakers mid sentence with no warning. I haven’t listened to enough episodes to know for sure but I would like to hear more from professional staff who make up 2/3rds of the FBI and provide all kinds of support so the agents can do their jobs. Agents tend to get all the credit even though they work on a team of incredible people. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning about real FBI case work.

Cmo820Good show butReplaying an episode with CW and commending his service?? Really Jerri…. Guess you don’t want to be left out of the yearly reunions. Pathetic.

xtlynnFantasticIn FBI Retired Case File Review, Jerri Williams features fellow former FBI members as they share first hand experiences of interesting cases. The show was recommended by a coworker a couple years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I appreciate that she tries to stay away from current politics and focuses the difference FBI agents make in our lives. They are an incredible, hard-working group of people. Thank you!

Remoh CuzTrue Crime storiesThis podcast is non-political; some reviewers have written their opinion of the FBI vs their opinion of the content of this podcast. I have not heard politics in this podcast. —The CONTENT: If you like true-crime stories, you’ll like this podcast. Ea story happened years ago as told by a former FBI official with direct involvement in the case. I think of this podcast as the “History Vault” of FBI cases. Jerri will ask a guest a few relevant questions during the interview, but the focus remains clearly on the story & the guest. —My favorite interview is w JEFF RINEK, the agent who caught serial killer CARY STAYNER, older brother of STEVEN who was kidnapped, held for years & escaped. Interesting & quite heartfelt interview. EPS 126 & 127, July 2018. —Re ADS: there might be a couple of very brief ads, but it’s close to ad-free. I have the Apple Podcast app set to skip 30 secs on demand; I typically tap several times before a show resumes. For *this* podcast, however, the guest is already speaking after 1 skip, so it’s easier to just hear the ad vs changing a setting. For this reason, this podcast is among the few I listen to while driving or running errands because skipping ads isn’t an issue. GOOD PODCAST.

Sepsl45How amazing is Jerri! She had done more to cast the FBI in a positive way than any silly hollywood portrayal. What a journalistic, law enforcement asset! Sam Lewis Lancaster, PA

We would never know about these people or their terrifying or just crazy experiences or stories. Thank you Jerri for making sure these people get some of the recognition they deserve and their experiences are preserved for history and future generations. AntonioemEntertaining and thoroughFascinating podcast that is a joy to listen to with thorough research and storytelling. The one star ratings are nonsense.

Chris95822Great conversationsAlways great to hear about the good agents do despite the things people try to say.

Jasny3068Bureau of TreasonThe FBI was formed to fight organized crime and somehow turned into the worst criminal syndicate we’ve ever seen. 😡🤬😡 No worries though, Good will prevail over their Evil. 💪🏼🇺🇸💪🏼

HTJC28Masterful content curationThe insight into FBI case files, guest selection (what incredible women and men), the conscientious interviewing process without any interruption, complete transparency, lack of commercial bombardment… these are just some of the highlights that keep me coming back. More importantly, I am so humbled with gratitude for these incredible men and women that have devoted their lives to service and to keeping the public safe. You are all true hero’s in my eyes.

lo101tEpisode 300Avid listener and absolutely love this podcast but I can’t help myself cringe when listening to Christoper Rays interview. He along with the DOJ have weaponized the FBI and that’s why they have a bad reputation. Disgusting!

Water cannonRequired training tool for LEOJerri not only is an exemplar of excellence in law enforcement but a terrific interviewer. She manages to offer a “high gloss” production without losing authentic sentimentality. The show delivers a broad array of case subjects touching multiple domains of the law enforcement landscape. I consider her podcast “required unit training.”

Melissa080808Loved Ouletta’s caseThe episode about Stephen Bloomberg was wild. I really enjoyed listening to this one and I love the enthusiasm from the retired agent who told the story. Attention to detail is amazing among FBI agents and the way their memory brings the story back to life is just amazing. I also love all the links you provide with photos, etc. Great job! You don’t need a thesaurus!

jOmammadCan’t get enoughLove this so much!

JESUSfreak77777Informative and interesting!Love how the show host lets her guests share and not interrupt them. Asks questions the listeners want to know. Great show!
-
buttelickLove itNothing like hearing real FBI cases from the actual investigators. I did notice something, why do fbi agents always repeat the name of the person of the person they’re speaking to?😂😂 not all of them do it but several. Probably something they’ve been trained to do so they can seem personable during interviews/interrogations. Just something I picked up on. Again great pod hope to hear more.
-
BigTeddyBAWGreat PodcastLots of good info with plenty of interesting discussion.

NJgirl27One of my favorite podcasts ever!Jerri is a great host. She doesn’t interrupt her guests, asks great questions, and has a wide variety of guests and types of crimes covered. This is one of my favorite podcasts ever!

JanemwlGenetic GenealogyThe episode on genetic genealogy was fascinating.
-
Miamigirl2SFGreat interviews. Great stories. So interesting to hear two agents discussing fascinating cases. Amazing!
-
Cozy222Never a Dull PodcastJerri’s relaxed interviewing style and her interesting guests with their intriguing stories makes for a unique listening experience. With all the negativity aimed at the FBI right now, more podcasts/shows like this would do this country no end of good. So much of what they do is out of the public sphere and is not appreciated as it should be.
-
Texas Anna SGreat podcastFun stories directly from the source. I love all the insider FBI knowledge discussed between the host and her guests.

dirkNpitJerri Williams a class act!(After listening for quite some time, the guest are not neutral and very much lean left. I truly like Jerri, but the @FBI is not so innocent....) when federal agents or retired ones are commenting on political events, they have mocked a President and lied to the people) I think this podcast is by far and away one of the best regarding content, the way it is delivered, and the fact that is real-life stuff! Jerri has always been good to me even on Twitter when I may disagree with something said by one of her guest. #228 was great and can’t wait for the next episode to tie this in. I’m not just a fan of the show, but of Jerri as well! Keep up the good work! @bugsbunny2062 Northern California Where the 2nd amendment and right to bare arms with a permit still lives....barely!

E1001@@@Pure GoldThis podcast showcases a wealth of knowledge from retired FBI agents. I greatly look forward to every show.

jkmkkmLove it, but there's a problemFirst I want to congratulate you on your show. I try to listen to every episode that you've put out. I have never been bored. However, one thing that bothers me is you do not number your episodes on the Apple podcast app. So I will see an episode with the number on your webpage and try to find it on the podcast page. The problem is they're not numbered so I don't know where to go.

Juliap0517Jerri is awesome!Love this show! Great guests with interesting insight. Jerri is amazing!

TracyB:)Simply Superb!Jerri excels in her mission to share who the FBI is and what the FBI does! I started following this podcast in January of this year and have now listened to every podcast. I began by listening to the shows that grabbed my attention, but then went back to listen to other ones. Within this process it became apparent that all of these episodes are fascinating, even the ones that I did not originally think would be of particular interest to me. The FBI has repeatedly received negative press in our current times. It is reassuring to hear a multitude of stories from front line agents who have done so much to help their fellow citizens and have been so dedicated to the pursuit of justice in a myriad of different ways. It was extremely difficult to pick my favorite shows, but here are my Top 5: 91). Reopened Klan Murder Case 161). Broad St. Shootout 212). Diluted Trust, Chemo Pharmacy Fraud 240). Fresh Kills 9/11 Recovery Operation 296). Boston Marathon Bomber Negotiation Jerri is a terrific interviewer. So many times I have been wondering about something within the case being reviewed, and then that is the very next question she asks. Otherwise, she lets the agents tell their story without frequently interrupting the flow. She also expresses her feelings regarding the people being discussed within a case and their experiences in an honest, authentic manner. I appreciate how she stays away from becoming political, which is difficult to find nowadays. And throughout the course of her pre and post monologues, her welcoming and enthusiastic personality shines through and her dedication for her mission is apparent. Highly Recommend!!!

thornbusjI just found this yesterday, as I was looking for a podcast that featured John DouglasI have now downloaded this series and I’m listening to my second episode. She’s an excellent listener asking pertinent questions or offering her own insights . great find !

Secret is a secretfascinating yet biased perspectiveCame back and docked two star because of all the hoorah and lack of honest transparency anytime she talks about the fbi. Like she admits stuff like the FBI is ‘not perfect’ but doesn’t really seem interested in exploring more or being honest/transparent. The fbi has done terrible things like the miami fbi office allowed the stoneman douglas shooting to happen or target individuals/groups associated with the civil rights movement or socialist movements decades ago (& countless other things). That said, I cannot even imagine the kind of prejudice & stereotyping Jerri experienced as a black woman in law enforcement let alone the FBI but she is an advocate for the core belief of law enforcement to protect and serve the community in these complex & high pressure environments. She is unlike other podcasters in the fact that she is a woman of color who retired from an industry where black women make up less than 1% of fbi agents. So, I enjoy hearing her perspective because it is not one that we hear often. There’s a million white guys who are fbi agents, and i’m not discounting their expertise bc many of them are guests themselves but it is refreshing to hear her perspective and things that FBI could be doing better for women & minorities. She is well spoken, interesting, and asks thought provoking questions since she herself has decades of expertise.

RockinRick8185ExcellentA professional and first class podcast.
-
jeanniebfan1True crime that’s better than “true crime”I enjoy each in depth, behind the scenes look at a case from the POV of the actual investigator. It’s a lot more authentic than the superficial treatment that the hosts of most true crime podcasts give a case. These investigators speak with the voice of deep experience, and I like to hear about their lives and careers also. Jerri asks the questions and just lets them hold forth and give you every detail they can. Makes the time fly on long trips! Two thumbs up.

kAtie5123Refreshing take on true crime from a woman who knows what she’s talking aboutI have a very mixed feelings about the true crime genre; it’s my absolute favorite category of podcasts but I often feel guilty about many shows’ exploitation of victims & their families. The hosts frequently have no idea what they’re talking about & make frequent mistakes in their discussions of forensics, LE, the perps motivations, etc. Ms. Williams has created a podcast that is the exact opposite. She knows exactly what she’s talking because she’s a retired FBI special agent who spent 26 years at the Bureau. Each episode presents an interview of a retired FBI agent discussing a particular case/area of specialty or general discussion of the Bureau itself. There’s even some really interesting episodes about how to go about becoming an FBI agent. I typically don’t like the interview format for a podcast but Ms Williams is a master of the art. She’s particularly good at clarifying FBI lingo/procedures for civilians like myself without messing up the flow of conversation.

@safarihippyAdoptionI’m listening to this and am completely shaken by the cruelty of this crime. I hope the couples have recovered. Thank you both for presenting this topic with such care and consideration. Well done.
