917212Fascinating corporate drinker explorationThank you to Laurie for exploring so many aspects, perspectives, and approaches to culture and solutions related to corporate drinking. Her curiosity is infinite. I learned so much!

AppsterRockstarLet’s Go Deep: Drinking and WorkspaceI listened to several episodes back-to-back and appreciate Laurie’s ability to draw out deep conversations between her and her interviewee(s). The episodes go deeper into the nuances, language, and real world experiences of alcohol in the workspace. The range of experts with tactical, strategic knowledge and personal lived experiences keep the listening, very dynamic and engaging! Thank you, Laurie! — Jen Gilhoi, TEDx Speaker

Ellen-LeonardWork IS broken - Laurie helpsLove this podcast! Sharing so much relevant info to help people love/survive work. I know it’s from last year, but I really enjoyed episode #184 so much because it provided a real look into the “great resignation” and gives actual strategies to manage the stress of working right now. Laurie provides great ideas to help you look at the bigger picture of your worklife to help you balance it. She also made me laugh. Thanks Laurie!

booper779HarmfulGiving a platform to a known abuser is incredibly harmful. The recent episode with Zach Ward did just that.
-
KDPantherDon’t Provide Platforms for Abusers.Get the full story before you believe an abuser over an entire community of women and artists that he terrorized. Despicable.
-
EliseMcGoldenI love this show!I’ve been listening for over a year and I can’t believe I didn’t write a review yet! I love this show. Laurie always poses questions and topics that force me to step back and critically think about the world around me. At the same time, she lifts me up and encourages me to put my self first. Laurie is the bomb. 😄
-
BurtthedogDangerously ProblematicShe gave a known abuser a platform to tell people that the survivors of his abuse are liars, and she made no effort to hear the survivors’ sides of the story.
-
sarahg4674So Ignorant, So ProblematicShe has a recent episode in which she is acting as a rape apologist for a known abuser in the comedy scene. She calls the multi-verified accusations of the survivors of his abuse “lies” without following up with any of them. She has given a platform for a rapist to again traumatize the people he victimized. It’s appalling.
-
Dantendo64Don’t give rapists a platformMaybe don’t have those who have assaulted others on as a guest? And perpetuate his lies to try and clear his name?
-
LifeisgoodboyCovering for an abusive boss? Classic HR move!A recent episode of this podcast provided a speaking platform and support for a known abuser in the community, without following up with any victims from several cities across the country who can corroborate a long-standing pattern of abusive behavior from this individual. Incredibly unethical, extremely disappointing.

A Slice of HRHR Talk RadioI listen to Laurie's podcast, "Punk Rock HR" in the car on family road trips. Her views and prospective always keep my mind active -- which is perfect for driving. Check it out! She's like my kids' version of the "talk radio" that my dad made us listen to but he was driving so he ruled the speakers. Colleen Drennen Pfaller, A Slice of HR

Danni_vasquezEssential for all HR prosI made a career change to the HR field almost 2 years ago. This podcast has been so vital for me and my growth in my career. I enjoy the content and the relevant topics of discussion.

kaykendallInspirationI love this podcast! Laurie’s knowledge and topics help me remember why I love HR and I’ve already learned so much more about how to fix work. Her Self Leadership talk and Take control of your career podcast was eye opening!

Katiepdx2013Explores Tough Topics Expertly and AccessiblyIt’s not easy to navigate the choppy waters of how power, privilege, autonomy, technology, identities, etc play at work, but this podcast does it in a way that is both interesting and insightful. For anyone that is interested in the systems of work this is for you. Not interested in systems of work, but have a job? This is also for you!

resstruntYou don’t need to be in HR to LOVE this podcastStart anywhere. This is a great podcast for anyone who cares about work.

Birches616Future-focused take on the life of workI’ve been a fan of Laurie’s for a long time now. I appreciate her straight-forward take on work and everything that feeds into it— our egos, our needs, and the world we live in. This podcast isn’t for unquestioning followers, it’s for leaders and those who are ok with challenging the status quo.
-
TheChicagoSoundDelightfully DisruptiveLaurie has been kicking *** and taking names since her days as the force behind Punk Rock HR. She's a great storyteller and interviewer, and she's not afraid to step on some toes to tell it like it is. The information is always useful, and often makes me rethink something I thought was a settled matter before. I'm glad she threads in bits about her personal life and opinions, too. It's always a value add and one of many things that sets Let's Fix Work apart from the let's-hold-hands-and-sing-Kumbaya faux positivity crowd. Laurie keeps it real!
-
foxeinsoxeMy Favorite PodcastI’ve been following Laurie since the Punk Rock HR days. She’s true to herself and has a fresh take on HR, how to impact employees and how to fix work for everyone. Fantastic interviews covering topics I didn’t even know I needed to hear. I learn something new each week and am starting to fix work for me!

David VerhaagGreat topics. Great host!Laurie does an exceptional job of interviewing her guests and bringing the ideas to life through her genuine curiosity. The discussions go well beyond “HR” and “work” and provide valuable insights for life from smart and often pragmatic guests and Laurie. Highly recommend.

HOMEMEANSNEVADAIndispensableLaurie’s podcasts rock. Without fail, they are interesting, timely, and funny. Laurie has a way of cutting through boise and BS to make HR and workplace topics engaging.

B LawsLet’s fix work!Laurie is fantastic! Great ideas and awesome interviews. She has great takes, and I enjoy hearing her opinion, even if I don’t agree with everything she says. Highly recommend this show. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Old Boy Scoutgood content on work topicthe podcast takes a really good look at how to improve the work environment. I've really enjoyed listening to episodes. The reason for a 3 star review is that Laurie has drifted off toppic at times and brought in current politics views. Politics is a reality but listen to the podcast for the topics that I can apply at work not to listen to more politic content. I have cable if I want politics....

ThisIsLarsInsightful, Honest, and RealLaurie is a masterful storyteller and interviewer. Her podcast tackles important topics through the lens only Laurie can provide. She challenges conventional wisdom with the entertaining and engaging wit and intelligence she's known for, while providing meaningful takeways for listeners on a range of topics. One of the few "must listen" podcasts about the world of work.

AtlscgradAmazing focus on doing things differentlyThis is a must listen not only for people in HR but for anyone who is interested in thinking differently and approaching work focused on making changes to their life and the lives of others.

FaceScape ArtistryFantastic insight and interviewsLaurie is a fantastic interviewer, with great insight and who offers tons of added value and fabulous takeaways. I recommend this to any professional across industries!

Deirdre HonnerGreat conversation about workplace cultureI listen to a lot of podcasts. I drive a fair amount and I love to listen to good conversationalists talk about work, culture, success, failure, and fun. I love Laurie's podcast for a number of reasons - format, length and flow of conversation. Highly recommend.

TwoDollaPodcast Convert Thanks to Let’s Fix WorkI don’t listen to many podcasts. I prefer singing along to “classic rock” on my commute, so the idea of listening to someone talk the entire ride home is not appealing. Let’s Fix Work changed the podcast game for me. I adore each episode because of the authentic and real life approach Laurie and all of her guests take towards work and fixing work. Work is broken all over the place and Laurie tackles that with guests from all different backgrounds to figure out how we can fix it little by little.
-
@CH_NativeFirst listenI just listened to my first podcast in this series this week. If I can survive on an elliptical machine while listening, then it was engaging. Laurie has a natural, to the point conversational style that sticks to the subject. I look forward to more episodes.

Sooner300A challenge to view work from a different lens.I’ve been listening to Laurie’s podcast for a while now. This podcast has challenged me as a leader to be open minded and to think about and view work perspective from a different lens. Laurie has a special talent for interviewing her guests that bring great value for her listeners. 5 Stars for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not an HR LadyInstantly Lost CredibilityThis series was recommended to me by a colleague, so I was looking forward to listening and learning. As soon as Laurie used the very dated term "HR Lady" in her intro (more than once!) she lost credibility in my mind. Not only is the term obsolete, it's also sexist and demeaning. There are many great males in HR, as well as females - most of whom won't appreciate being called "HR ladies." If your purpose is to revolutionize work, starting out with an antiquated and stereotypic term is not the way to do it.

Mary FaulknerVariety AND good content!Disclosure: I’ve known Laurie for awhile now, so I was primed to be excited for her podcast. The good news is...I am not disappointed. Laurie has found guests from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives to talk about work, leadership, dreams and reality. I’ve enjoyed listening to her guests so far and learn something new every episode!
-
UnstuckableA long overdue conversation about fixing work!I'm so excited Laurie stared this podcast and this conversation. I couldn't agree with her more that work is broken! I'm also drawn to her optimism that work can be fixed if only we allowed ourselves to reframe out mindsets about work. Amazing guests, offfering powerful insights about how you can start fixing work for yourself!

jtodd1973Things my students need to hearAs a faculty member at a liberal arts college, I spend a lot of time talking to young people about what their futures will be like. This podcast is giving me some great ideas to present to my students to challenge their thinking about those futures and how they can change things for the better.
-
hdombeckFired up!Work broke for me in September 2017, and I’m excited to join Laurie on this journey to it. The first three episodes were thought provoking and fun. I’m looking forward to what she has planned and how this budding community can take action along the way.

Rene MathewsBurn it DownThis was my first time listening and I loved it! Laurie did a terrific job and Scott is at ease and confident in his decisions! Loved it!
-
Gary.KushnerGreat Podcast!Laurie does an excellent job of making you think differently about work and the role it plays in peoples' lives. I've known her for years and would heartily recommend listening to her new podcasts.
-
hrcarolinaLet’s Fix WorkLaurie has another winner with her new podcast series entitled “Let’s Fix Work.” The guests have been a breathe of fresh air to our more traditional HR thinking! After listening, I am reminded of a statement I recently read from Steve Browne’s book HR On Purpose: “You will need to go against the flow because only dead fish go with the flow!” Thanks Laurie for helping us on the journey “upstream.”
-
svsc23Great start!I’ve listened to the first two episodes, and can not wait for the next one. Laurie does a great job asking the right questions and leading the right direction to make her guests’ journey accessible and applicable to everyone pulling their hair out to fix themselves and their relationship with work!
-
Colleen KelleherThought-provokingA new, thought-provoking series from one of my favorite HR voices! I especially liked the info about UBI, as well as the Jason Lauritsen episode. His description of the ever-widening gap between employer and employee perspectives really hits the nail on the head: how do we reconcile employees' relational approach to the workplace, with employers' contractual, production-motivated one? Great food-for-thought listening, complete with recommendations on resources to continue exploring.

Planet VicsterIt's Sunday afternoon and you're sad: listen to this podcast. From her long-ago beginnings as Punk Rock HR, Laurie Ruettimann always tells it like it is with her unique blend of street smarts and soul (along with the occasional f-bomb). "Let's Fix Work" combines fascinating discussions with intersting people and Laurie's Get Real sensibility to create an intelligent exploration of how all of us--workers, HR, management, and even us "unemployables"--can empower ourselves to transform work into an experience where we don't constantly feel as though we're exchanging our soul for an inadequate paycheck. I am excited to hear more from Laurie and her guests!
