I love this podcast so much! As a reader, it’s delightful to hear about both new and beloved authors and get a peek into the making of their world. As a writer, it’s encouraging to hear other authors’ struggles and learn about their processes. It’s always such an encouragement!

This podcast is delightful and I love the ukulele into! Marissa has had some great guests on her podcast and I love listening to their writing process, as well as their books.

I’m pretty sure that this is the best lockdown project ever. Marissa Meyer is the perfect host. A great mix of cheerful and happy but also keeps the conversation going and doesn’t let it spiral into disarray. I love this podcast and love seeing a new episode load each week.

This is one of my favorite writer-interview podcasts, and I’ve been listening to a lot of them lately. I find Marissa Meyer’s focus on how to be creative while also being happy incredibly inspirational. I love that the podcast features many debut authors — I’m definitely adding all of those debut books to my TBR. Now that I’m all caught up, I can’t wait for the newest episodes!

Marissa asks creative and thoughtful questions that prompt her guests to show different and unique sides of the writing industry and their personal writing habits. I highly recommend! Great podcast with thought provoking interview questions. Please dial down the happy just a half notch since I found myself cringing through the giggly parts but other than that, it’s a great listen if your looking for something new to read, or in my case something new to bring to your library patrons.

I really enjoyed the podcast. As someone who is attempting to write a book, it was really interesting to hear how much Jessica and Marissa struggled through some parts of the books they wrote. I’m a huge fan of Marissa Meyer’s books so I can’t wait for the next episode. I also think the podcast will introduce me to a lot of different authors that I have never heard of which I’m excited for.

I’m finally getting myself back into creative writing and was delighted when Marissa Meyer announced this podcast. I loved the first episode—not only was it fun to hear two authors discussing the writing process, I now have a new series to add to my list, as the featured author’s current trilogy sounds like it’s my cup of tea. I can’t wait for more episodes!

As an aspiring writer, it is really awesome to hear from published authors and learn their tips and tricks. I am excited to hear from a variety of authors in future episodes.

Marissa, if you’re reading this, I can’t thank you enough for making this!! Meyer not only gives insight about the writers she interviews and their books (which should give you some recs!) But she goes over writing tips that are quick and helpful. The speed round at the end is great!!! I love the idea of a happy writer being important because that aspect of writing is overlooked a lot. This is a great episode! Sky Without Stars is a fantastic book and I LOVE the combination of the Lunar Chronicles (which is my favorite series), and Les Miserables, one of my favorite beautiful plays and novels. This podcast is extremely helpful and enjoyable!

I have always loved Marissa Meyers books. I own both the Lunar Chronicles and the Reneges series. The podcast has given be a few new books to read. The first episode is very entertaining and fun!

Super excited to have another writer/book focused podcast to listen to! It’s so nice to hear that published / successful authors still go through their own trials + tribulations!

I am so excited to see future episodes and get to know little things like the way authors celebrate accomplishments and more!

When I first heard that you were going to start a podcast, I was super excited. You are one of my favorite authors, and I absolutely adore your books! I got even more excited when you said you were bringing other authors on. This was really nice because it allowed me to get insight from another talented author and, for the times I don't know who they are, it gives me the opportunity to find a new author to fall in love with. I normally get a bit bored with podcasts that go more than 20 minutes, but this kept me invested the entire 39 minutes. As an aspiring author, I loved the end especially because it gave me some helpful insight into the writing process and reminded me that everyone goes through some low points (I always feel like I'm just not good enough when I hit these points). To hear that such an amazing author like yourself goes through it too was really encouraging to me (not that I want you to have a hard time!). The only thing that I would have enjoyed hearing that was not included would be book recommendations (maybe you could say one of your favorites at the end of every podcast). However, I was definitely not let down with this. I subscribed not only to help my chances of winning the contest, but also because you genuinely captured my interest enough to make me want to listen again. I look forward to the next podcast and hope this series continues for a long time!

I love listening to interviews where the host and the guest both have the same background, and this is another great author/author podcast! The questions are often more unique this way and you learn things you wouldn’t learn in any other place. I also loved the “happy” focus and I’m looking forward to many more episodes.

Marissa Meyer is so inspirational! This podcast is perfect for any book lover or writer out there. My favorite podcast by far
