    Must listen!
Episode 314 with Dan Cable on creating a highlight reel is a must-listen. I’m reading the book with my book club based on the episode and I’m loving it. The questions were insightful and the pace was entertaining. Thanks for the great episode! I’ll be a frequent listener in the future.

    Mentors in a Podcast
I am a small town, North Carolina lawyer who has been practicing for just over 12 years after hanging my own shingle straight out of law school in 2007. Although I have an amazing law partner and mentor now, there is so much about the business of a law practice that you just don’t learn in law school, or really along the way in practice, without a good source of trusted information. This podcast has been that for me! I have just started listening to podcasts in 2020, but I’ve already learned so much! Thank you!

    Love this Podcast
The Lawyerist podcast is really helpful because there are in-depth discussions of real-world problems facing solo and small firm lawyers with solutions and things to think about. What I love most about the podcast is that it approaches the profession of being a lawyer from the entrepreneurial business side which is so lacking in most firms (small and large). They also do a good job of curating their sponsors so they are products and services that actually add to building my business (kind of like a Tim Ferris model where I actually appreciate the sponsor messages).

    Starting Law School at 57...
I’m a 1L with an hour of windshield time every day. Stumbled across The Lawyerist, and really enjoying it. After 35 years as a consulting engineer and Chief Technology Officer for a small company that grew from 70 to 250 people over 20 years, the topics that the hosts cover are relevant to any business and they are very well presented. Listen to your people and your customers. Leverage technology. And don’t be afraid of what’s around the corner...it just might be an opportunity!!! Thanks for being there!

    Really helpful
Sam and Aaron are REALLY out to help us lawyers. They don't sugar coat how hard running a law practice can be, but they do provide a wealth of information, reviews of products, and connections to other leaders/resources in supporting fields that guide you to best practices. Podcasters rely on sponsors, but Laywerist doesn't seem to promote their sponsors over competing products so I feel like I can trust their reviews. On their website, they've got charts where providers are compared using objective categories. A ton of free info. Thanks, Lawyerist!

    Stellar content for lawyers
I'm not a lawyer, but as someone who coaches financial advisors on the many aspects it takes to transition from working "in" the business to "on" the business - I love that Aaron and Sam bring the same thought process to the legal field. Marketing your practice applies just as much to lawyers as it does any other service profession and the Lawyerist podcast provides the content and experts to get you there as a lawyer. Must listen. The most motivating thing online!
I absolutely love this podcast! I spend quite a bit of time in my car driving for work and am an avid podcaster. When I found these guys I was skeptical because to be honest being an attorney hasn't always been the best thing. I have never loved a job, and have been searching for my legal path for years. After listening to one particular epidosde I immediately knew where I needed to go. Lets just say these guys are the reason I am still practicing, and plan to start my own firm here in the near future. I hope to attend the TBD law conference one day and meet the guys responsible for helping me find my motivation in this career!!

    Excellent Podcast!!!
As a solo practitioner, I enjoy this podcast immensely. Nice mixture of practical advice for a little guy and big picture issues that remind you of how fun law school could (sometimes) be. Great stuff.

    A must-listen for solos!
This podcast has so much useful info for solos and lawyers just starting to branch out on their own. I've learned a lot about running a business and legal technology, and I can't thank Sam and Aaron enough. This is one of my "can't miss" podcasts. Keep up the great work!

From One SAASy lawyer to another
It's great to finally meet some lawyers who 'get it' and aren't too proud to admit the practice of law is, ultimately, a business. I love your podcast, your conference looks great, and you manage to make me laugh all the time. I must recite your stat about how '17% of lawyers still use Windows XP' all the time, and the scary thing is some people don't understand why it's so crazy! Keep up the great work.

    Big Fan
The Lawyerist knows what’s up. This is great, and I especially love that they don’t try to upsell all the time like other lawyer advice podcasts.

    Best Lawyering Podcast I’ve Found
Perhaps a late bloomer in the podcast world, I started searching for and listening to good lawyering and general business/productivity podcasts after catching on to the medium during the “Serial” boom. At that time, I was giving serious consideration to abandoning my safe, secure, respectable full professorship at a fully-ABA-accredited law school to start my own solo law practice. After sampling a few of the other lawyering podcasts out there, I found Lawyerist’s. It’s now my hands-down favorite, and I typically tune in within a day or two of each episode’s release. The content seems sometimes to be geared more toward brand new lawyers, just out of law school, but I have found the ideas and advice the podcast offers to be extremely helpful to me as I make a career transition (I’ve since opened that solo law practice that I previously only contemplated). I’ve also shared the podcast with a few other lawyer friends, most of whom have been in practice for decades, and they’ve expressed appreciation for the content as well. In short, if you are a budding, new, or seasoned lawyer, this podcast is worth a listen.

Since discovering this podcast several weeks ago, I've enjoyed insight from the guests and hosts so far.

Great Content, Great Interviews, Time is $$$ Well Spent
I stumbled into the podcast from the website. As a 52 year old 1L, I have neither the time or luxury of a trial period upon graduation and (fingers crossed) bar passage. I have to start developing business strategies now. Lots of thought provoking insight along with real-world experience discussed.

    Great All Around Legal Podcast
I am a newer attorney (3 years) in a small/mid-size firm. I had thought about going solo in the past until entering this position. That's what originally brought me to Lawyerist. I'm glad to have this podcast now as it adds a layer of personality to the Lawyerist universe. Even being in a stable position at a firm with a solid local reputation, I look at many of the discussions on the Lawyerist podcast with an eye toward implementing them in my own practice and throughout my firm. I am the new guy, so I start with myself. But whether it's my own personal practice, or the entire firm, ideas such as "satisfaction guarantee," writing out a personal ethic, or honing in on the ideal client before having the marketing discussion all apply. These ideas inspire me to rethink the way we've historically done business. The discussions on the podcast do not promote a "new for the sake of new" mentality. Rather, while critical of the "because we've always done them that way" approach, they try to jettison the tired and inefficient hangers on and replace them with common sense answers to both new and old lawyer-client problems. Although the discussions revolve around a small/solo practice world, the ideas typically transcend strict numerical boundaries. I imagine the ideas would apply even in a big law setting. If I have one recommendation for the podcast, it would be to add a more thorough description of the episode's content. Too many discussions list a litany of Sam's or the interviewee's favorite apps. However, I can't write these all down whil at the gym, in the car, or mowing the lawn. It would be nice to have that material referenced in the descriptions, as well as highlighting any key concepts or other resources that may be new to listeners. That way I don't have to relisten to the podcast and take notes at a later time.

    I'm biased, but still...
I've been a proud Lawyerist contributor and community member for many years, so I'm obviously biased. But still, if you're looking for a law practice podcast that has a good mix humor, snark & the latest information, this one is tough to beat.

    Just what we needed
This is great listening for forward-thinking lawyers, especially solos, but really for all lawyers. The content is current and highly relevant, and the interviews so far have been great for expanding my perspectives on practice. Thank you for putting this together. For what it's worth, I'd love to see an episode on legal expert systems and tech-related alternative lawyer careers.

    A Bright Future
No surprise that Sam Glover and the Lawyerist team are putting out outstanding content. But now you get an audio version as well. Right out of the gate bringing an impressive all-star lineup in #1 Alan Dershowitz and most recently #3 Carolyn Elefant. It won't be long that this will be required listing for the solo/small firm attorney. (Review by @davidamoore)
